Brad Goreski Looking Sharp With Christian Louboutin Fall Winter 2011 Platers Flat

Brad Goreski is undisputedly one of the most savvy sharp dresser. He chose to wear Christian Louboutin's ultra pointy Platers Flat from the Fall Winter 2011 collection when he attended the recent GQ Annual Gentlemen's Ball held in NYC on Oct 27.

Brad shows off his preppy taste by wearing tone on tone grey, a colour that is indispensible for any gentlemen's wardrobe. But Brad is not contented with just a smart pinstripe jacket, he pairs his ensemble up with his own playful, modern antics, that of a purple glitter bow-tie and of course Christian Louboutin Platers Flat in gorgeous stingray (SGD2900).

Zara Glazed Leather Loafers

Loafers seemed like an unlikely and unwise choice for Fall Winter season. The low cut design means your feet gets exposed to the cold winter air more and perhaps not the most warm shoes to wear for winter.

However, Lanvin proposed a whole range of patent leather loafers for fall that got me excited. Lanvin's tasseled versions is so befitting any modern dandy. A must have! These are versatile shoes that matches with trousers or shorts (for tropical Singapore), uplifting your style to a whole new refined level:-) However, I was not prepared to fork out more than S$1k (£533 at Mr Porter) for Lanvin's pair. I was counting on Zara for an alternative. Although I was not able to track down tasseled versions... I managed to find an equally attractive pair with low heels (similar in look and feel as Lanvin's) which fits my requirement.

The glazed leather was a key decision maker, seeing how it looked more polished but less brash than patent leather. I love Zara's simple design and wooden coloured soles too, of course the very affordable price tag of SGD179. I have no excuse not to bring it home:-P and I did.

Will wear with suits with rolled up hems, shirts and shorts and more. Matches my black acetate rim glasses too!:-P

More Balenciaga Birthday Treats: Mens Classique Clip Clutch + Giant Arena Rose Gold Hardware Triple Tour Bracelet in Orange Brule!

Good things come in pairs. And I am thrilled to now enjoy 2x the Balenciaga Mens Classique Clip Clutch and 2x the most gorgeous hue for Fall Winter 2011, Orange Brule.

I am obsessed with the versatile Clip Clutch bag. Used it last weekend and I can attest to the user friendliness of the bag. The external zip pocket is a joy to have and allows easy access to regularly used items. Best of all, there are always so many gorgeous Balenciaga leather colours to choose from. While I love my recently acquired Clip Clutch in Biche colour, I keep thinking about Orange Brule. Orange brule is a gorgeous orange tone brown that can go neutral enough to match anything but outstanding altogether if you want some colour. And it goes exceptionally well with rose gold hardware, which means I have to own the Giant Triple Tour Arena Bracelet in that combination.

So using my 'soon to arrive' Birthday as an excuse yet again, I pampered myself last week and today... Acquired both of my Balenciaga Orange Brule wishlist at one go!

What a way to round off 'Birthday present shopping' with these 2 new goodies. Who else shares my love for Balenciaga and Orange Brule colour?:-P

Another 'man-clutch' alert! This time, I have my sights on Louis Vuitton... Who would have expected Louis Vuitton to have quite a drool worthy man-clutch in their mens selection?:-) Introducing the Louis Vuitton Honoré Portfolio Document Bag in Nomade Leather... this might just be the dream man-clutch you are looking for:-) (All thanks to Scott Disick, boyfriend of reality TV star, Kourtney Kardashian. I wonder what Scott is doing with a business bag... since he has no known occupation, and probably will not need one with such a rich girlfriend... isn't the bag redundant?:-P *I am just being sour grapes here:-P*)

The Honoré Portfolio bag is crafted from one of my favourite leathers from LV, the Nomade leather which has a beautiful tan colour and smooth in surface. Somewhat similar to Natural Vachetta which is a natural vegetable tanned leather, Nomade ages and patina over time, lending it a vintage look. And who wouldn't get organised with this handy portfolio bag, when you have compartments and card slots that fit every little business needs of the urban man? The gold tone buckle also seals the deal with a touch of luxury and classic charm.

The Honoré Portfolio bag retails for USD2250. Is it too high a price to ask for a document case? You decide.

Versace For H&M Womens Collection
The girls always have more fun when it comes to fashion. For the new Versace for H&M womens collection, Donatella Versace referenced back to the extensive archives of the legendary house of Versace and used signature prints, patterns and cuts that defined the Versace women.

I am feeling those studded dresses, the black leather one Anna Dello Russo wore during the recent Paris Fashion Week SS2012...and also my favourite, the pink silk dress with incredible stud embellished patterns. At this level of detailing, it will probably cost an arm or leg for an actual Versace. But now, fans of the brand can have a chance to enjoy Versace's stunning designs at a fraction of the price.

The womens collection has many gems. The accessories are certainly noteworthy, with bags, shoes and bracelets all making sure the ladies look fabulous at every turn. The nature prints inspired by tropical Miami are also exciting and eye catching.

Versace For H&M: The Most Anticipated Collaboration Of The Year

Everyone must be waiting with bated breath for more information and imagery for the upcoming Versace For H&M Collection. Due to hit stores worldwide in a few weeks (17 November), many have already been teased and excited by preview pictures of this designer collaboration and want to see more. What else can we expect from the collection? The wait is finally over...

Today, I am pleased to share the many many pics I just received from the press kit. From Ad Campaign imagery to lookbook pics to product pics and even pricing in SGD! What are you waiting for? For the most diehard fans, there is even a home collection included to ensure you are dressing and living the Versace for H&M collection come the launch day. Here's a synopsis of Donatella's concept and direction for this collaboration:

THE ICONS OF VERSACE FOR H&M: STRONG COLOUR, WILD PRINT AND GLAMOROUS ATTITUDE

Versace’s collection for H&M is full of the pieces that have made the house of Versace legendary. Dominated by colour, print and cut, the brand’s creative director Donatella Versace has gone back to the archives to bring some Versace classics to a whole new audience. Iconic dresses are the focus of the women’s collection, while menswear is centered on sharp tailoring. Also for the first time an H&M designer collaboration will include homeware pieces, reflecting Versace’s influential home designs. All collections will be available in around 300 stores worldwide, as well as on-line, from 17th November.

“The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace. For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace, such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own.” Donatella Versace.

“Versace’s collection for H&M is a moment in fashion. It is full of strong pieces that stand out, with colours, prints and cuts that are clean and precise. The women’s collection is flattering and full of dresses, while the men’s collection is very sophisticated. When I think about Versace I think of iconic items. With this collection for H&M we’ve got the essence of Versace.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

Versace’s collection for H&M includes many of the iconic designs. For women, a classic black silk crepe dress has gold Grecian buttons on its patent straps, while the flow of a floor-length goddess gown is balanced by boning in the bodice. For night-time shine, multi-colour sequin dresses are covered in archival Versace prints, short metallic dresses come in either silver or gold, and strong colour shift dresses are embellished with studs in classic Greek motifs.

For H&M, Versace has revisited some of its most famous prints, which for women are used on pieces such as dresses, short pleat skirts, velvet bomber jackets, leggings and jeans. Meanwhile the importance of leather for Versace is reflected in leather jackets that come decorated with gold studs and zips. Accessories include a high-heeled laced boot and a studded suede high-heeled sandal, along with studded leather bags as well as velvet bags covered with the Miami palm print.

Versace’s men’s collection for H&M is a mix of slick tailoring and pieces of extravagant pattern. Suit jackets and trousers come in either black or pink, while a black tuxedo jacket has metallic tip trims on its pockets, and shirts have metallic wing-tips on the collars. Versace’s palm and optical prints are used on T-shirts, as well as on thin-knit cashmere sweaters, while print is also used on velvet bombers, jeans, and even underpants.

There’s leather in the men’s collection too, with a quilted leather jacket trimmed with gold studs in the Versace classical Greek pattern, which is repeated down the sides of black cotton shorts and a rolled-sleeve T-shirt. Accessories include embellished beanies and patterned caps, embellished or print scarfs, as well as hi-top sneakers and the perfect dress shoes.

Versace’s home pieces for H&M take full advantage of the house’s iconography, with pillows and a bedspread resplendent in the multicolour floral Japanese fan print, bringing the complete Versace lifestyle to H&M.

Bottega Veneta Intrecciato VN Document Case

It never hurts to plan early. Especially when it comes to hunting down the perfect X'mas present:-) By now, all of you should have been aware of my clutch craze... seeing how I have obsessed over man clutches of all sorts, from Balenciaga, Valentino, ASOS and many more. For the upcoming X'mas, of course I wished for a man clutch as the perfect Santa's reward to myself.

And this latest obsession comes from none other than Bottega Veneta. It's been awhile since I have fallen head over heels with the brand's bags... but this time, I am so loving the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato VN Document Case, especially after seeing it in real at the Ion Orchard Boutique Singapore. Crafted with the brand's signature intrecciato leather weave, this luxurious piece of handwork is immediately recognisable and yet understated. Since not too many have been spotted on the streets, it's also a style statement waiting to be discovered.

I want one! Retailing at SGD1680, this fine piece of Bottega Veneta's display of superb craftsmanship is definitely worth every penny. Comes in 4 gorgeous colours, from a light brown to chocolate to black and midnight blue (as seen on the pic above).

I'd take any colour any day!

Balenciaga Mens Large Classique Clip Clutch in Biche

More birthday treats for myself:-) After hemorrhaging my bank account for the past months while contributing to the profit margin of my favourite retail giant, Club 21 in Singapore... I finally got back some sweet 'pay back', thanks to their membership programme. Redeemed all my points for vouchers and used them to offset the purchase of my dream bag of the moment, Balenciaga's Mens Large Classique Clip Clutch. Choosing between the different colours was a tough choice. Orange Brule, Coquelicot and Vert Fonce were contenders, but in the end I decided on Biche for its versatility. The biscuit brown colour seems to go well with anything!

Christian Louboutin Rollerball Spikes in Leopard Haircalf

Birthdays are an excuse to spend $ on frivolous treats for yourself. And one of the items on my wishlist are a pair of Christian Louboutin Rollerball Spikes. Getting a pair for my upcoming Birthday is imperative.

Since these shoes have gained popularity and more and more people owned a pair now, I was biding my time for a more unique pair to call my own.

Thank the shopping gods, my search ended and I found these cool Christian Louboutin Rollerball Spikes in Leopard Haircalf as sold at Brownsfashion. Not your typical yellow brown and black colourways, but in cream, chocolate and black tones. Instead of silver coloured spikes, it is decorated with gunmetal ones. Have not seen these anywhere on other online sites and stores... so it is definitely a rare pair of red soles to covet! All just in time to add to the birthday treats I am getting myself for my upcoming big day (end Oct!).

Balenciaga Fall Winter 2011 Mens Bags, Shoes And Accessories

Who is the star of Balenciaga's Fall Winter 2011 Mens Bags, Shoes And Accessories? In my opinion, of course, it's undisputedly the mens clip clutches:-) Which is the star colour for this Fall Winter 2011 season? To me, the stunning rouge red, Coquelicot is a clear winner! I am now seriously tempted by a red Mens Clip after seeing the lookbook pics:-) I wonder who manage to snag himself one from Club 21 lately? Jealous, envious!

Besides Mens Clip clutches, other bags on offer this season include familiar designs, Courier and Mens Day bags, in a range of new colours such as Vert Fonce (Olive), Biche (Biscuit brown) and Anthracite. There is also a new messenger style bag, named the Utility to get fans excited. If you have been searching for a messenger style Balenciaga bag but not impressed with the women's Folk bag, then, the Utility could be the ideal choice! 2 straps adorned the front flap to give it a schoolboy appeal, while silver arena studs and distinctive styling give it the unmistakable Balenciaga flavour.

Besides Utility, there is also the smaller brother, the Reporter S which features a pouch like zip-opening design, petite enough to be handy but yet appropriately sized to store a good amount of essentials (or even your camera).

Beyond bags, the shoes and belts are all measuring up in the design department this season. I especially favoured this season's contemporary buckled leather monkstraps with yellow coloured soles as well as metal plate details on the toes of quirky boots. That deep red pair is a clear winner!:-)

Milan Vukmirovic Wears D&G SS2012 Mens Silk Foulard Scarf Print Denim Shirt

The final collection for D&G sends out many statement making pieces down the final swan song for the brand. Silk scarf prints were the inspiration for SS2012. These fine intricate patterns were plastered all over shirts, trousers, distressed shorts and even footwear, creating a refreshing direction to modernise silk foulard prints. One of the pieces I have been eyeing is this Denim Shirt with the silk print panels on the shoulders. Now made even more desirable after seeing Milan Vukmirovic (my style idol) wearing it during the recent fashion week.

How could you not love something so rugged and casual, given a step up the cultural ladder, ala Baroque style? A more playful take on Versace? Anyhow, the shirt just flew right to top spot for my SS2012 wishlist.

Céline's minimalist appeal is irresistable. Even model Mirranda Kerr is a fan of one of the classic bags offered by Phoebe Philo: The Céline Clasp Calfskin Cabas. This version of my favourite Céline Cabas totes features a brass clasp on the top to close up the top. But the sizing is much smaller that regular versions.

Mirranda Kerr looked absolutely chic with her Burgundy cabas. Nothing to clutter her look, leaving her looking sophisticated and not in your face while she shops in Paris during the recent Paris Fashion Week SS2012.

Yes, it's another 'milestone' here on my blog. I have now officially lusted over 500 'frivolous' things... 'The Material Boy' hits a 500th mark:-) (And severely depleted my bank account in the name of research:-P)
