The Runway Sniper #05

Fendi Fall Winter 2008/2009 Man Bags

You usually associate Fendi with womenswear and ugly bags. The latter is very true as they have been churning out the most hideous bags season after season, this 'attribute' has now been deeply attached to them. Sadly their spy bag glory days have not yet been relived. This 'ugliness' also applies for the men's bags. Spring summer 2008 sees lots of ugly totes with Fendi monograms plastered all over them in appalling colours. Yuck was the word that came out of my mouth.

However, I am now about to eat my words with the Fall Winter 2008/2009 collection by Fendi. Things got cleaned up in more refined lines. Although the ready-to-wear is not the most impressive, but I immediately fell in love with their new man bags! Crafted with a variety of skins and colours, from luxurious grey croc skin to soft tan calf leather, I love the design of the bags! Elegant and simple, reminiscent of Hermes, using buckled strap handles and some even feature patchwork of horses(I saw the pic in L'Officiel Menswear Collection FW 2008/2009 magazine!). This is one bag to lust after! Timeless and without all the ugly loud Fendi branding.

Will definitely check out the Fendi stores when Fall Winter 2008/2009 collection is launched!

Again you have found something I have noticed and really like!
Those Fendi bags for men look clean and elegant, the balance is just right. I wouldn't mind carrying one of those.
