YSL Rive Gauche Bag

YSL makes great bags for women. And if a man is confident and bold enough, he can work it right and pass it off as his man bag. Here's another example of a photo of a guy who rocks another great YSL bag, the Rive Gauche Bag. I am not very confident in pulling that off as the size is smaller and I fear it looks too much like a purse. But looking at this pic...it could work!

The Rive Gauche bag features hand carry and shoulder sling straps with the signature Muse Bag turn-lock hardware and 2 brass rings on each side. However, the lower brass rings is more of a D shape than round.

Judge for yourself if a guy can pull this bag off. The pic taken by The Sartorialist speaks for itself.

Retail price: US $1795. Where to buy: www.ysl.com

  1. Hi again Kevin,
this too is one of my favourites (as you know, haha)! It sure looks great on him.
By the way, have you showed your own little treasure from the same brand for us? (I am most curious)

Believe it or not, I am still not quite back to normal, as I still have a bit of a cold that just wont go away. I must have attracted some supervirus over there..

  2. Yeah, it does worked on this guy since he looks androgenous with his look and outfit. Very chic! I can never pull off something like that. I like it! and the bag is cool on him as well.

I only have my YSL downtown tote. so have already posted:-) Thinking of getting the muse bag...but no sure yet. It's almost the same colour as my downtown bag. and I have so many brown bags already.:-(

Hope you get well soon. Have more vitamin C!

happy and speedy recovery to you!

    Kev

  3. The YSL downtown, yes ofcourse you have already posted it, I forgot..

I wish I could pull off the rive gauche bag too, but I don't think so. Maybe you can though..?
But the Muse may be better.

I like your new Gucci tie also. I saw the same outfit (with the white suit) in the Gucci shop window in Stockholm, and it looked so nice I had to stop and admire it for a while (the shop was closed, otherwise I probably would have bought it). The tie I saw had an orange stripe though. With the white slim suit it looked so riviera-playboyish.

I'll go and squeeze some fresh orange juice now..

Yes, the muse is much better than rive gauche!:-P

  6. I dun think I can carry the Rive Gauche bag...it's too small. Yeah, it's a bag that takes a suitable person to compliment the look. If you can flaunt it, then buy it. if not, no point forcing it. You will probably end up buying a 'white elephant' for storage as you will be too shy to use it.:-)
