My MANy Bags News #43

Have You 'GRAFFITIED' Yet?

Yes, today is the much 'anticipated' or 'dreaded' launch date of Louis Vuitton's Graffiti range, after much delay and hype for the lucrative Asia markets, SG included.

Some lost their interest, some stay away because of the present economic crisis, some simply did not care in the first place. All the hype for the range seem to have died down quite a bit with the delays after delays. Neverfull still never made its way to today's launch and will only appear sometime in March. I almost did not get as excited about today's launch as it did 2 weeks ago. Perhaps Louis Vuitton was foolish to push back the launch date for Asia while the rest of the world dig their hands onto the Graffiti range. We want to join in the fun when it all started...not when the heat has simmered and almost every interested shopper worldwide already had their taste and tease of a piece of Graffiti piece.

So the question begs....Have you 'GRAFFITIED' yet?

I went to Louis Vuitton Ngee Ann City after work this evening expecting a crowd ...but to my surprise...the store was quiet, like what Mondays should be. I got in without queuing. I found my sweet SA (who was the only one bothered to call me about what I reserved at the store and remembered me..shame on all the snobbish SAs. I could be a BIG customer:-P) and the rest is 'baked beans' history. :-P

So my answer to my question...YES, I HAVE!

Happy Graffiti!

  3. I KNOW WHAT YOU GOT!

I think I'm laying off the Graffiti.

*SIGH* I was so excited about it and to think I don't even own a single item from the range. Well, maybe the sneakers if I get crazy one day – I do love them.

I'll make sure to call you before I get them anyway. ;)

  6. another friend not getting graffiti:-)

    Alvin and Mervyn...

who else will pass off the range?:-) Perhaps LV outsmart themselves and now have the repercussions of turning people off thru the delays. It is not good to keep fans waiting.

    LV must learn.

  7. Well, the longer LV makes me wait, the more chances Hermès has to make me burn my plastic there.

I've my eyes on the tote and a new agenda (for personal notes) already. I'll share pictures with you through e-mail or when we next meet. :)

  9. What didja get Kev? The SAs here in Melbourne is just as bad as those in singapore, they dont seem to know their products, we seem to know better. Im quite over the Graff, your bag charm was lovely and still is, but after a while it isnt really groundbreaking. Shame on LV for the delay and serves them right! lol - MC

  10. I think I will pass for now. I am lusting over the Graffiti Brooch in green but that's an expense I can hold off on for now. I can get a pair of shoes for the price.
