Balenciaga Spring Summer 2009 Sanguine Weekender Bag

It's unveil time! Have not had time to take pics of this long overdue reveal from weeks ago until today. It was my first purchase from the ever helpful Erica from HG bags. And I have to say, my first experience dealing with Erica was an exceptionally smooth and pleasant one. Despite the fact, I almost miss out on this deal as another buyer of hers committed to this item before me. It was the last piece that Erica had in her inventory, so there was no chance of getting this anymore from her.
So imagine the joy and exhilaration when Erica emailed me back to tell me the buyer change her mind and decided to get another design. I was of course most thrilled with the good news. Must be beginner's luck:-) It seems the 'shopping gods' wanted me to have this baby and lady luck was with me that day.
So this is how I end up with this amazing find of my entire bag collection history...my super fabulous Balenciaga Spring Summer 2009 Sanguine Weekender!
It arrived in just over a week (due to the Good Friday weekend) and I was ecstatic over the beautiful deep red colour, almost reminding me of red wine. I had always wanted to own a red colour bag. But I do not want a bright red as it seem too loud and difficult to match with my clothes. But this Sanguine colour is deeper in hue, with a brownish undertone, making it perfect to stand out and yet not overpower the wearer. At certain lighting conditions, it even feel like a reddish brown. That is the beauty of Balenciaga leather colours, it morphs at different lighting conditions. I am in love with this colour now.
The leather is shiny and sumptuous. It is beautifully distressed, adding a lot of character to the bag.
I am very happy I managed to buy this amazing bag. I am so head over heels with Balenciaga now. Thanks Erica! I am your repeat customer now. Definitely looking forward to more fantastic Balenciaga purchases from you:-P
