My MANy Bags News #136

Mulberry Alexa Bag And Clutch (Preview from Spring Summer 2010 Collection)

First seen on the arms of British style icon, Alexa Chung during the recent New York and London Fashion Week, we have all been smitten by this new arm candy that seems to be poised as a hot favourite for Mulberry's Spring Summer 2010 collection.

ALEXA is a brilliantly twisted take on Mulberry's iconic Bayswater classic. As the name of the bag suggests, it is inspired by and named after who else but lovely and chic Alexa Chung. Bang-up-to-date and fashion perfect, this bag has garnered a lot of interest with Mulberry fans even before its debut!

Alexa has lashings of feminine Mulberry style, with a nod to Mulberry's beloved Bayswater, and comes in oak, ink blue and butter in gorgeous buffalo leather with brass hardware; or in stand out, smudgy shiny leopard leather in dark oak or peony pink, trimmed with pale gold hardware. Alexa shares the perfect proportions of Mulberry's best selling East West Shimmy and can be worn hand held, cross-body or on the shoulder. The Alexa family also includes the oversized Alexa and the Alexa clutch. A perfect group to reflect one of Mulberry's major seasonal themes of schoolgirl naivety and effortless charm!

I have been able to get some real good pics of the Alexa range so everyone can have a good look at the details and lovely design. Thanks to Mulberry for the high res pics!

Click on pics to enlarge! I have kept them quite big so you can see the bag up close and personal in its full glory:-)
