Below: 'Obligatory' dressing room modelling shot:-P

Below: Roll up the sleeves for a more casual look:-P

Below: And where else can you also get a v-neck sweater for £9.99? Only H&M... we need one in SG!

Below: H&M Store in Knightsbridge, London. Opposite is the mega Burberry store and a few steps away, Uniqlo, Benetton and then the fame Harrods:-P

H&M Black Fine Ribbed Corduroy Blazer + Grey Cotton V-neck Sweater

What do you do when you come across a clothing with all the right cuts, at price that sets you back only as much as your full day of meals, looks more expensive than it is, comes in a sophisticated black colour and you feel like a million dollars wearing it?

Grab it. It's a 'crime' to forgo such great buys. H&M is the name. The £29.99 black fine ribbed corduroy blazer is the object of mention.

On my last day in London (during my recent trip), I almost committed fashion blasphemy to even think of missing out on this one. But one last minute enlightenment from the shopping gods above save me from 'eternal regret':-P

We need to all pray for H&M to come to SG shores now. Where else can you find such sharp looking blazers for just SGD $70? Or even a grey V-neck sweater for SGD $24 (£9.99)?

  1. Wow, such a good choice...
    The blazer really fits...
But I do NOT like the cheap H&M bags - I want them to give us the clothes into paper bags:D

  4. Yeah, for this price, I cannot find any complain! It looks more expensive than it is. What's most important, the cut is surprisingly good. Sleeves is right, length is right, body is right. Comes in a maroon colour too. Works great for evening parties. Could easily pass off as Dolce & Gabbana:-P Haha.

I am praying H&M makes its debut here soon.

  5. We love H&M for their shockingly affordable trove of treasures. You just really have to look what works and not.

  6. I agree totally Mark. Not every piece is a winner. So are quite poorly made and odd fits. So you really do have to filter thru the bad ones and get the 'treasures'!:-P Their affordable cashmere sweaters is a steal!

  8. my grey jeans are from D&G. Audacious fit, which is super low rise (sometimes can be uncomfortable if you sit in the wrong position:-P) and skinny leg. I wore them for a few days already while travelling in UK and Paris, so it stretch a bit. But will shrink back with washing:-)

  9. Sometimes when you can't afford high fashion, the second choice is H&M, Topshop, and Zara. Unfortunately, H&M is not available in Singapore. Are the people at H&M blind and not notice the huge market for fast fashion here in Singapore. Come on, we should create a strike and I demand H&M to come to Singapore. Can you hear me, FJ Benjamin? Bring H&M in!!!

  12. Ah! Well done. I bought this jacket myself about a year or so ago.

It looks great. It still looks great.

It's the male equivalent of the little black dress. Wear it anytime, anywhere - you'll never be wrong, you'll always look good.
