Mulberry Hosts Exhibition For Venetia Dearden’s New Book, ‘Glastonbury - Another Stage’

Mulberry supports creativity yet again:-) Mulberry was so taken with photographer Venetia Dearden’s work that they have sponsored the publication of her new book - ‘Glastonbury - Another Stage’. Venetia's new project is a selection of portraits of Glastonbury festival goers, artists and performers with stunning scenic shots highlighting the festival's unique atmosphere. Just in time for Glastonbury festival celebrating its 40th year running. An array of interesting personalities makes for captivating portraits, while shots of on-the-scene moments captures the essence of the event. Mulberry will be exhibiting shots from the book in their Bond Street and Madison Avenue stores. To launch the exhibitions, Mulberry will also be hosting an event in New York on May 25th celebrating the essence of the festival, by incorporating live musical performances; as well as a party in the Sony space ‘Cocktails and Dreams’ at Glastonbury on Saturday, June 26.

Mulberry has also dedicated a section within their website (http://www.mulberry.com/#/peacelovemud/) which will be regularly updated with images and contents from the events while featuring key images from Venetia's book. A competition has also been set up for visitors to the US site to win 2 invites to the New York Party! If you reside in US, what are you waiting for!

Photographer Venetia Dearden was born and raised in bucolic Somerset, England. Her long term documentation of this rural area has been widely acclaimed, resulting in the publication of her first book, “Somerset Stories, Five penny Dreams”. Venetia’s work has been and continues to be published in Vogue, Wallpaper, The Sunday Times Magazine, The Saturday Telegraph Magazine, W, Harpers Bazaar, Elle USA, Stern, Geographical UK, Details, among others. Venetia’s University degree in Anthropology at Edinburgh University was followed by a Postgraduate course in Photojournalism at the London College of Printing in 1999. Her passion for travel continues as she works extensively documenting social and humanitarian issues around the world, whilst also working as a consultant for Photovoice.org.
