Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Date Automatic

Below: My heart be still... A new object of desire indeed... the new Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Date Automatic as spotted on hearthrob Chris Hemsworth during the recent 86th Academy Awards...

Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Date Automatic

When you have progressed so much with your bags, clothes and shoes collection... the natural step forward for being a true style aficionado naturally inclines to appreciating a full lifestyle of tasteful living. Timepieces, automobiles, home furnishings and art are all part and parcel to reinforce one’s appreciation of the finer things in life. At least for me (unfortunate for my wallet), I am starting to develop an increasingly demanding taste for my wrist accessories, namely my watches.

Montblanc has been earnest in putting their brand forward and into the wrists of the world’s most influential and successful men. From Hugh Jackman to Lang Lang and now leading Hollywood Actors at the recent 86th Academy awards just put the brand high on desirability. Of course, their long tradition of craftsmanship has seen some exceptionally crafted timepieces amongst Montblanc’s collection.

The latest to join the brand's impressive timepieces family is the Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Date Automatic.

Leveraging on ninety years of pursuit in perfection and masterly craftsmanship since the creation of their iconic, Meisterstück (German word for “masterpiece”) fountain pen 149 in 1924, Montblanc’s NEW Meisterstück Heritage Collection of timepieces shares this same spirit of incorporating extraordinary innovation and workmanship with outstanding aesthetics.

The Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Date Automatic is definitely an object of desire. With its four displays (hours, minutes, seconds and date), the Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Date concentrates on all essential functions. The dial’s design is crafted with fine black indices for the minutes along the downwardly sloping periphery of the dial while the sharply faceted applied indices radiates out in various lengths. The applied Roman numeral “XII”, the date window with polished frame and the fine sunburst pattern with a radiant shimmer all add to the level of detail for this masterpiece. All these intricacies forms the background for the circular motions of the rhodium-plated and polished hour-hand and minute-hand, each in dauphine style, with 4 sharply tapering facets that beautifully match the applied indices. The hands are propelled by self-winding mechanical Calibre MB 24.17 movement which is ensconced in a red gold and stainless steel case and features large reptilian scales and a stainless steel pronged buckle.

What more can you ask for in a outstanding timepiece? This is indeed love at first sight. To sweeten the desire, hearthrob Chris Hemsworth (of ‘The Mighty Thor’ fame) wore the Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Date Automatic at the recent 86th 86th Academy awards. Dashing!

The Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Date Automatic will be available starting in the summer of 2014.
