The Material Boy #331

Below: This Givenchy knit vest may look plain on the front...

Below: The real attraction lies in the bondage like strap details on the back! What a statement piece and so unique:-)

Below: Bondage like strap details are all over the Givenchy Fall Winter 2009 menswear collection...

Givenchy 'Bondage' Knit Vest

Riccardo Tisci has risen to the elite group of designers whose work matters most during Paris Fashion Week. With his very forward, often Latin and Catholicism inspired collections, Givenchy became one of the most favoured brands for top fashion editors and retailers alike. For his men's collection for Fall Winter 2009, he again tap into the alpha Latin male psyche and whip up a series of dark austere looks with fetish tendencies. Bondage like straps are a staple in the collection, translating into clothing, shoes and accessories.

Ever since my visit to Givenchy's Paris store at St. Honore, I am even more in awe of the brand. And this Givenchy Bondage Knit vest (Price: ¥45,150) is just so refreshing and statement making, I had to love it! The bondage like design at the back will be perfect to raise some eyebrows and yet subtle enough to hide under a jacket. Have never come across anything like that, so if you have a chance to buy these...grab it! Sadly Givenchy menwear has limited distribution, so the lucky Parisians will have the best access to the brand's very avant garde collections.

Enough said, I need need need this vest! Love Love Love!

this will look great even with just a plain white shirt. Love it.

now, where's your Givenchy reveal?

yes it does:-P since the vest is a eye catching piece on its own, best to keep the rest simple:-P

My givenchy will come later...so busy with work. Got involved in another biz pitch...I am running dry on creative juice!

you need to get laid, Kev, to get the juices flowing. Pun intended. LOL

Aren't the straps supposed to be worn in the front??? It would be cool if you could wear the vest either way!

Nah, this vest is meant to wear with straps on the back. Look at the collar and you will understand:-P
