Ad Campaigns And Catalogues #260

Below: Burberry's cinematic and charismatic black and white FW2012 Ad campaign...
Burberry Fall Winter 2012 Ad Campaign

Peotic, enigmatic... with a vintage black and white cinema feel. That's my first impression when I saw these new Burberry Fall Winter 2012 Ad Campaign images. In a certain strange way, the London backdrop with misty fog and deserted streets felt eerie and reminds me of stories of Jack The Ripper...Oops.

Although it is not my favourite photography from talented Mario Testino (I even felt the background was too retouched and looked plastered on), there are still redeeming qualities with the film-like quality of the shots that captivate the audience. Model Roo Panes and Gabriella Wilde fits their roles perfectly, looking at ease and beautiful.

"We wanted to play with everything that’s at the heart of the Burberry world – celebrating our brand and London through imagery, film, music, weather and our iconic outerwear, all in a very poetic and British way.

Using London as the backdrop, we shot the series of cinematic, emotive black and white images and short films with the incredibly talented Gabriella Wilde and Roo Panes, who effortlessly bring the campaign and our collections to life across all of our platforms."
