My Shopping Conquest #37

Paul Smith Net Print Small Laptop Bag
(Reveal from 'My Club 21 Sale Paul Smith Loot')

Yes, I love shopping and Club 21's end of season sale is always a must visit event that any fashion fans may not miss. Unfortunately, I was unable to buy as much as I would wanted to....cos' in a way, there is nothing interesting to shop this season! Good for me! Hehe. I guess the looks presented this Fall Winter season is not my cup of tea. I am eagerly waiting for Spring Summer 2009. Gucci, Lanvin and D&G all have great designs which I can see myself wearing. Just hope the economy gets better. Not a good time to have financial downturn!

So yesterday, my only 'loot' from Club 21 sale is this Paul Smith Net Print Small Laptop Bag. When you cannot shop for styles you want, you shop for things you need for a function. And I need a decent looking laptop bag to hold my Macbook. With some laptop stands adhered to my Macbook to allow for better air circulation, the normal laptop bag which holds the laptop when flat will not fit anymore. I need a bag with more room so I do not have to remove those half dome stands all the time. Paul Smith's laptop bag is perfect as it is designed with a depth to hold more than just a laptop. I was amazed that I can find something that works 100% to my requirement. I also like the illusion created by the quirky print on the laptop bag. From afar, it looks as if all the items featured on the print are really protruding out of the netting! How fun! (There are other bag designs in this range of print if laptop bags are not what you need.) The net print has a summery seaside feel so it will be perfect to lug around when taking resort vacations!:-) The inside of the laptop bag is padded so no worries about protection and cushioning of your laptop.

Beyond using this as a laptop bag, I feel it works as a document holder or a chic 'man clutch' too:-) I am in love now.

At just SGD $170 after a 37% discount, I feel I found a gem in this 'stale time' of sale shopping! This laptop bag is not only fun but serves a purpose and yet still look good while doing its job!

Retail price: SGD $269. Where to buy: Paul Smith Counter At Isetan Wisma Atria

i was just inspecting the travel bag version of this. the trompe l'oeil print is just so convincing, i sometimes get crossed-eyed.

nice bag and great price...
With the poor economy like this, we're going to see a great SALE like never before. In US, major stores start to mark down around 40% off even before "Black Friday."

Hahaha:-) Yeah, the pound is very weak these days. I have leftover pounds which I refrain from changing back to SGD. Wait till it goes up again.

Hope you had a great day in Singapore!

Hi Terrence,

first to answer your question, you have to state where you are from. If you are in Singapore, I will be able to provide you the asnwer. But otherwise, you have to check with the local Paul Smith stores in your area if you are from outside Singapore.

The bag you are talking about retails for SGD $719 before discount. If you have a DBS amex card, this weekend will get you an extra 10% off discounted price. Making it a 37% discount off SGD $719.

Cheerios!
