My MANy Bags News #86

Today Is Burberry Day In New York!

Today, 28 May has been declared Burberry Day in New York City.

In appreciation of the continued investment and commitment Burberry has made to New York and US, NYC's Mayor Bloomberg has officially named 28 May, Burberry Day! This coincides with the official lighting of the Burberry logo on the rooftop of the new Burberry America headquarters at 444 Madison Avenue.

To further celebrate Burberry Day, 20% of all purchases made in Burberry New York stores at 57th Street and Spring Street in SoHo on the day will be donated to The Burberry Foundation.

The Burberry Foundation is committed to dedicating global resources to help young people realise their dreams and achieve their potential through the power of their creativity. The Burberry Foundation invests in select charities focused on supporting young people in the key cities in regions where the majority of Burberry employees live and work, and where they are able to participate in volunteer roles with Burberry Foundation charity partners on the ground.

And of course, no initiation of Burberry Day can go without a party to celebrate, so this evening, we see Christopher Bailey and esteemed guests attending a event to commemorate the occassion. Dun we love Burberry...so many parties lately!:-P
