Giacomorelli Fall Winter 2011 Mens Shoes

Giacomorelli... a promising young shoe designer from Italy whom I first blogged about here, has just shared with me his latest Fall Winter 2011 Mens Collection. I had coveted those amazing Leopard Haircalf Studded Loafers, and this new season, we see the designer tapping yet again on the appeal of studded designs currently still raging in men's footwear.

The new fall winter 2011 collection offers plenty of studded options to appease any shoe fan, from trainers to loafers and lace-ups. All of which have redeeming qualities despite some resembling a little too close to those infamous red soles. My favourites are the 2 trainers bearing only simple spiked panels on the sides against leopard haircalf (one of my favourite materials) or the studded shoe lace panel against python skin. Both of which are more original and interesting.

Besides studs, get ready for a flash of eye poping colour, bright orange piping and fuchsia pink haircalf panellings on classic brogues which create an interesting dichotomy of tradition vs. funky. Time to get yourself som attention wherever you wear them.

Below: Remember Mr 'Giacomorelli', the guy who was first to spot Giacomorelli's studded leopard print loafers? He's back with new fashion inspiration! Alexander McQueen Skull Leather Clutch anyone?!?! Looked great even for a guy! His metallic gold shoes are fabulous too... if you got yourself the recent Lanvin x H&M versions, this is how you can wear them!

Below: Never seen these Alexander McQueen Clutch on a guy... but it worked for him! Now I want one!

Below: Alexander McQueen Skull Clutches for Spring Summer 2011... these basic ones will be perfect even for guys:-)

Below: Mr "Giacomorelli' was the first guy I found to be spotting those beautiful studded leopard shoes...

A Guy And Alexander McQueen Clutch

Does everyone remember 'Mr Giacomorelli'? (I named him that as he was the one who got me noticing Giacomorelli's studded leopard loafers. But unfortunately, I do not know his exact name.)

Mr 'Giacomorelli' is now back to inspire more with his adventurous fashion antics. This time, he is spotted with gorgeous flower embellished Alexander McQueen Leather Clutch with Bejewelled Skull Knob. Never seen a guy pull this clutch off before, so this is refreshing. And in some ways, it worked! In his hands, the clutch felt like a cigarette or whisky case and not feminine at all.

Love it! And for those lucky guys who managed to snag Lanvin x H&M metallic shoes, here's his take on shiny metallic leather footwear (Probably from Lanvin a few season's back)! Stunning!

Love! And inspired. I need a McQueen clutch...

Christmas pressie to me, anyone?:-P

Giacomorelli Spring Summer 2011 Mens Shoes

Remember Giacomorelli's gorgeous studded leopard haircalf loafers I blogged about a couple of months back?

Well, Giacomorelli is now back with a new Spring Summer 2011 collection of men's designs that is very promising! I am loving the tasseled eyelet version in tan leather, as well as the wrap around buckled strap ones in black:P Even the ethnic fabric designs are beckoning out to me.

Love these shoes. Hopefully, Giacomorelli will make a debut in Singapore and many other parts of the world soon! These shoes are too good to be adored from outside of Europe:-P

Giacomorelli will hold a presentation in Paris on 1st to 4th October at the Premiére Classe Trade Show, Jardins Des Tuileries. Good luck to Vittorio and team!

(BTW, the new season also sees women's collection being added to Giacomorelli's portfolio. So ladies, more shoe temptations for you! Click here to view the womens Spring Summer 2011 collection)

My MANy Bags News #244

Below: Luisaviaroma currently stocks these black calf leather studded loafers...

Update: Giacomorelli Studded Leopard Haircalf Loafers

I just got more information from Vittorio of Giacomorelli who has kindly shared more information for these 'to-die-for' studded loafers in gorgeous leopard haircalf.

These loafers will retail for €380 and will be distributed and sold in selected stores, the most accessible to international buyers being www.luisaviaroma.com. However, luisaviaroma currently only stocks a black calf leather loafer with studs at €314.17. I hope more styles will soon be offered at the online retailer's website. Giacomorelli is also planning to set up their very own online store which is targeted to be operational by end July. So stay tuned! Meanwhile, any interested parties can email info@giacomorelli.com to check on availability and international delivery.

For this first Fall Winter 2010 collection, there will be a total of 7 styles where style number 1, 2 and 4 will each be offered in 3 different colours. Production run for each design are limited (100 pieces maximum for each style). However, for the upcoming Spring Summer 2011 collection, there will be 2 very limited styles going for a exclusive run of just 30 pairs. The possibility of collaborative designs with some major brand names are also in planning. I have yet to receive the lookbook for their Spring Summer 2011 collection. But once the images are sent to me, I will definitely share them here.

Here's a little background information about the designer and the business partners involved in creating Giacomorelli:

Giacomo Morelli is a new and young designer who was born in Italy 24 years ago. After high school, he left his own town and studied in the Marangoni fashion school in Milan, developing his ideas and honing his acute sense of style.

Upon graduation in 2009 and finishing his fashion show in Paris, he started gaining valuable experience from working with some famous brands before embarking on his own label. Having always the dream to create his own line of shoes, Giacomo Morelli began developing his shoe designs as early as 2009. Hand made in Italy, the quality and innovative designs caught the attention of Vittorio and Roberto in December 2009 where they use their industry expertise and experience to help Giacomo distribute his shoe line to well known retailers all across Italy. The GIACOMORELLI brand name was hence born. With the help of the good business strategy by Vittorio, these beautiful shoes has now been introduced to reputable buyers and customers worldwide.

For pictures of the Fall Winter 2010 collection, check out www.giacomorelli.com.

A big thank you to Vittorio for answering my queries:-)

Leopard Print Shoes With Studs On Men: LOVE!

I want a pair of leopard print shoes with studs now. Who said men and leopard prints do not go well together and screams 'Drag queen'.

Don't you adore how this gentlemen infused his classic style with some 'animalistic' allure via his leopard slip-ons? The studs on the back of the shoes are most interesting. The closest I can find resembling a pair like that are Christian Louboutins Fall Winter 2010 Rollerball in leopard haircalf leather and gold studs. My Louboutins wishlist just got longer...
