My MANy Bags News #236

Below: British luxury brand, Mulberry created the highly coveted Alexa Bag. Come fall, Mulberry will collaborate with Target to launch a limited edition handbag collection...

Mulberry Diffusion Line

Is there a new world of retail and profit opportunities in high street fashion? Apparently the answer is yes. After many successful designer collaborations with high street labels, more and more luxury brands are welcoming this partnership.

Latest to join this band wagon, Mulberry!

Mulberry will launched a limited edition handbag collection with US retailer Target. Target recently joined forced with Zac Posen and Rodarte but are yet to release price points for its forthcoming collection.

"At this stage we aren't able to offer more details on the collection although we can confirm the collaboration is definitely going ahead," a Mulberry spokesperson told Vogue UK.

Despite previously designing a diffusion line for high street store Gap, the brand has announced it has no plans to unveil any further high street collaborations in the UK this summer.

The Target Mulberry collaboration will be available in most stores and on www.target.com from December 24.

Do you welcome this new collaboration for a limited edition lower-priced Target/Mulberry line? Share your thoughts.

(BTW, congrats to Emma Hill and Mulberry for winning Glamour's Accessory Designer Of The Year at last night's 'Glamour's Woman Of The Year Award Ceremony' held at Berkley Square. Emma deserves it for creating the highly successful Alexa bag!)
