D&G Maroon Large Polished Leather Bag
I seldom take a fancy on D&G bags. Much as I love the ready to wear clothing, their bags usually tread on the territories of being boring or over-designed. Worse of all, sometimes, the pricing can be ridiculous if you compare the design to other more established luxury bag brands.
Well, this Fall Winter 2009, we seem to have a winner here for D&G. As I was checking out their newly setup online shopping site, I discover this gorgeous D&G Maroon Large Polished Leather Bag (deep red to me;-P). Perhaps it is the slightly shinny leather or that mesmerising deep hue of red, and maybe the slightly distressed effect on the leather with all that brass hardware..they all seem to speak to me in a positive way. I feel this bag could be a wonderful everyday companion. It's simple enough in design with some quirky twist to not be boring, such as the multiple zips (inspired by the women's D&G Lily bag). And yet, it is functional with a hand carry handles and shoulder strap option, plus 3 roomy compartments to sort out your belongings. Best of all, for all that is worth of that leather and hardware, it costs a mere US $995. Oh gosh, such quality of bags never start at this good a price.
I will have to scout out my D&G store here to see if this baby will be stocked. Love it...I am always game for the idea to own a nice red bag!
Retail price: US $995. Where to buy: Dolce & Gabbana

OOps....I need to be constantly reminded...:-P
You seem to have an affinity for red bags or maybe you just like red too much. Lol.
any idea where is the best (cheapest) place to get this? europe (Italy, UK?), US or in Singapore if in stock?
Hi anonymous,
Cannot advise you on which is the best deal in the countries you listed. Check out the website's prices in different currencies. do the exchange rate. US has the most favourable exchange rate to SG now. Pounds has gone up, but they have a hefty VAT exemption for overseas purchases.
