Lanvin’s Spring Summer 2013 Mens Collection is an interplay of contrasts. Classic versus high-tech, linear versus rounded, detail versus no detail. It’s a showcase that affirms designer Lucas Ossendrijver’s drive for innovation.
The Spring Summer 2013 mens accessories sees aplenty of tech/sports themed details applied on classic designs. Such as derby shoes that feature thick grated rubber soles shaded by a colour streak. Exotic python skins coloured in almost neon like orange and blue hues that modernises the material. Metallic rainbow hued metal buckles and leather are original, seen on belts and shoes. I also love the foil totes and backpacks than evoked a futuristic appeal.
In contrast, jewellery appears are more bohemian than modern, in the form of beaded bracelets, bleached ties and leather cuffs but sometimes accented with metal components.
