Céline Spring 2016 Bags And Accessories

Guy Friendly Céline Spring 2016 Bags And Accessories

Many guys are fans of Céline despite the brand being a women’s label. Their gender neutral and contemporary design of accessories and shoes won over women and men alike. There is just that sense of a quiet modern appeal that makes a statement without blatantly screaming to be seen.

For Spring 2016, I picked out some of my favourite pieces... designs that appealed to me and hopefully to some of my fellow Céline fans as well.

How could you not love a pinstripe Phantom Luggage tote (€1550) in navy and white? A typical menswear pattern used on a supposed women’s handbag. But the size, with it’s fan out sides, makes this medium size Phantom luggage tote work with a guy’s proportion. I love the look! There’s a white version as well for those who want clean lines and colour:-P

The Sailor bag (€1500) in beautiful smooth calfskin with a rope cord shoulder sling makes for a useful and appealing summer bag. Hit any beach front destination with this fuss free bag.  Nautical touches always gets me going.

I also love the colourful Red and Navy Stripe Canvas Clutch Pouch (€360). Céline always combines the best colours together.

Lastly, I am obsessed with the Knot Extra Thin Brass Bracelets which comes in rose gold, gold and silver. Simple design but looks so good on the wrist. Because it works like a cuff, guys with bigger wrists can slip on one easily. Perfect for stacking with watches and adding extra bling:-P

Valentino Fall Winter 2015 Mens Colour Patchwork Backpacks

How many more tricks does Valentino have when it comes to their signature camouflage pattern? Camouflage prints have always appeared in many mens collection. Different brands have explored their own unique interpretation and to stand out, Valentino definitely cannot afford to be a one trick pony. They have done camubutterly, camupsychedelic and many many more innovation ways to exploit the pattern. So what can be new for the brand again?

Well, it seems the brilliant minds at Valentino decides to combine camouflage pattern with the most indispensable piece of clothing in any guy’s wardrobe... Denim! Hence, the Denim Couture collection is born. I love it:-P Two of my favourite menswear elements coming together. These are not merely printed camouflage on denim... if you observe closer, there are patchwork pieces of the leather and dark denim fused with the base denim layer to create the intricate pattern.

Who can resist a pair of Rockrunner sneakers (£500) in denim blue with striking red heel panels? Or a rucksack (£1860) with contrasting taupe leather straps and handles? I know I want both! The collection also introduces a very handsome tote and waist pouch as well as denim overalls and jeans for those who want a denim overhaul (£1325) in their style:-P

Mulberry Marty Backpack

Mulberry Marty Backpack

If you are like me, in an endless pursuit of the perfect backpack... then here’s an option that might get you excited. I love a backpack, but I want mine to be more smart and less street. Sort of like an adult backpack that you can use confidently for work and yet versatile and durable enough for play. Backpacks have been rampant with many brands seeing how the style has taken off in leaps and bounds with fashion fans. We boys love our backpacks!

So it is no surprise even a traditionally refined luxury brand the likes of Mulberry are doing their take. Mulberry have fallen out of fashion’s favour lately... but let’s not forget this British leather goods maker still creates exceptionally beautiful products that transcend trends. I love their classic oak coloured leather, and their discreet and refined styling. So when it comes to their backpacks, you can expect these aesthetics.

Check out the new Mulberry Marty Backpack. I love the simple styling using beautiful grained leather which gives some structure and yet soft and supple to the touch. Not to mention, they aged well and will stand the rigours of daily use. The Marty backpack takes on a ‘outdoor adventure’ styling but through the use of quality materials, makes them suited for both casual and formal. The use of a snap hook closure and mountain climbing rope as drawstring all adds to a masculine, interesting design. These are the details that make a difference. The Marty backpack in midnight leather and nylon (£595), with 2 front pockets for extra storage is love at first sight! It also come in a full leather black version (£995) but I’d  picked this nylon/leather combo for it’s lighter weight and contrast of materials. I have a feeling Marty and I will be best buds if I ever acquire one myself! Love the handsome navy colour.

For a more compact version, choose the Small Marty backpack (£795) which comes in appealing shades of oak and black. Besides the size difference, the small Marty spots a sleeker appearance sans the 2 front pockets. All in all, the Mulberry Marty gets a thumbs up. Another option to possibly end your quest for the perfect backpack:-P

Dior Homme Spring Summer 2016 Mens Shoes

Below: The new Dior Homme Spring Summer 2016 Mens shoe collection offers sporty soles attached to classic monkstraps for an outdoor and yet sartorially appropriate designs! No wonder the models strutted down the runway wearing these with suits... they worked! Love them:-P

Dior Homme Spring Summer 2016 Mens Shoes

Disrupting the codes of sartorial dressing...Kris Van Assche’s Dior Homme Spring Summer 2016 mens collection showed models strutting down the runway, pairing suits with trainers and hiking style boots. A sense of sportive attitude and rugged outdoor spirit create fresh juxtaposition for the new collection. And this appealing combination cannot be achieved without those eye catching footwear.

I love the new footwear collection... a style I would deemed sportive elegance. Rubber soles typical of sneakers and outdoor boots attached to classic shoe styles, monkstraps in particular, creating hybrid designs that are original and interesting. The open toe sandals are one of my favourites, with zip details and buckles for a street cool while the refined leather and monkstrap style keeps them sartorially appropriate.

I want a pair! And those monkstraps too!
