Gucci Tan Coloured Tattoo Print Leather Lace-Ups
(Reveal from 'Advance Spring Summer 2009 Shopping...')
As some of you might have guessed, I did get the Gucci Tan Coloured Tattoo Print Leather Lace-ups. Same as Deluxeduck, I am a huge fan of the sailor/seaman inspired tattoo illustrations. So this pair of lace-ups is perfect to get a bit of attitude and quirkiness when you wear it.
Both sides of the shoe features a different set of illustrations. Mermaids, anchors and hearts are some of the interesting elements imprinted on the 'aged' tan leather. I feel the same way as Mr Duck on the tattoos blending in better with the tan colour than white.
To sweeten the deal, I got this pair of lace-ups at less than full retail price. I used SGD $180 worth of Takashimaya vouchers (Both from Takashimaya Amex card rebates, my Bally Baltic bag purchase and $50 birthday gift vouchers from my office.) to offset the hefty price tag of SGD $900. Beyond paying less than retail, I got another $70 vouchers back with the shoes as the rebate voucher promotion was on again the following weekend from my 'Bally Baltic bag buying' weekend. With $10 voucher back for every $100 spent, plus 6% rebate from Takashimaya Amex card, it means I have knocked off another $100 from the price tag.
Literally I got a '30% discount' of sorts for new arrivals! How cool!
I love Takashimaya! I love Gucci!
Retail price: SGD $900. Where to buy: Gucci Boutique at Takashimaya

WOW I REALLY "LURVE" IT...THE TANNING OF THE LEATHER IS TRULY MAGNIFICENT....SHOES.....AND SHOES.....HA..
the shoes are gorgeous, i saw it on saturday and it looks very pretty. i also saw one with the same aged leather but with no tattoo designes, and with white piping.
very nice shoes. *hearts*
It's gorgeous! And matches great with jeans. or even worn with shorts.:-) I love it. Gucci has been deprived of good designs for a long while since 2007 spring summer. So I am happy they came up with this:-)
Oh I think the tattoo design makes the shoe more unique and interesting.
it goes with everything! even works well with that orange scribbles we've all got our eyes on. congrats.
Be honest, I don't like Gucci anymore. Recent Year or since Tom Ford has gone, they really don't have any creation, it looks cheap and poor quality as you can find that at wal-mart made in China.
the Tatto bag & shoes seems like Re-copy Prada Fairy Bag.
Sorry, No NO for me
To each his own. If you dun like it, so be it. Gucci is not going to fold becos you dun like it:-P
Well, I will buy lots from next season's Gucci:-P
And I hate Tom Ford's Gucci. Unwearable, impractical designs that is oversexed and nothing innovative.
So like you, those were the dark Gucci days to me.
I'm lovin' all your recent purchases! These pair of shoes, the Bally bag, the shirt...My my! :D
what size you wear? for gucci (and YSL, i think all from the same PPR factory) i need to wear a size down. usually 43 but for gucci i need 42.
i think we can be chums with imelda marcos
oh finally revealed! i like haha, was staring at it during my visit to gucci at sg
The size I bought for this shoe was 39.5. Hahaha. Small eh? But it fits really comfortably. for other brands, I always get size 40. I judge my size thru proportion to my height and feet.
Yes, we are the 'heirs' to the imelda shoe collection craze!
And toosan, yes, finally revealed. The shoe is lovely!
wow you have petite feet!
wow, you have very small feet!
i also wear size 42/43 depending on the make and the type of shoes. so Joe, if you have anything you don't want anymore i'd be happy to accept =P
But my size is always the first size to run out of stock! So always cannot get shoes during sale time:-(
Sob sob.
Hahaha. Yeah, my feet is smaller in a way. Maybe it's slender, more streamline in shape.
