The Racha, Phuket (Thailand)

Phuket used to be seen as a cheap and tacky destination to all of us living in Asia. The scene of money boys/girls and cheap ONS seemed inevitable an impression when you tell someone you are headed for Phuket. However, impressions will be changed if you look at the selection of top premium resorts available in Phuket these days. My breath was taken away and I was duly impressed.

After doing some online research (for my 'longtime friends' gathering soon), one of the most appealing hotels in Phuket which I now concur could be The Racha, Phuket! Stunning breath-taking interior design and located on Racha island...it's a hideaway in a getaway holiday destination.

The most captivating feature about The Racha is the amazingly unique Lighthouse villa offered by the resort. A superb 5 storey villa with private pool, terrace, sun deck and observation lounge offering magnificent 360 degree views over Racha island and the Andaman Sea. It also features 2 luxuriously appointed master bedrooms on the 2 lower levels (both with bathrooms and Jacuzzis) and 2 other single rooms are located on the 3rd and 4th level with a shared landscaped outdoor showers. State of the art entertainment by Bang & Olufsen, a private pool with underwater music (oh my...) and the latest Xbox 360 video game station will ensure you never be bored even for a minute. Gather all your friends, find a group of six....it's a true indulgent party holiday to be held there:-P
