Tod's presented their Fall Winter 2012 Mens and Womens collection recently with an intimate and amazing presentation at Ritz Carlton Hotel Singapore's mega huge presidential suite. I had the pleasure of having an up close and personal session to fondle the new collection. The feeling of luxurious leathers and skins, innovated with Tod's constant research on materials and technique made for an exciting new range of bags and shoes for men and women.
However, my top picks and favourites unfortunately did not come from the mens' new collection. I am more intrigued by the womens' range which had refreshing and functional designs, suited for any stylish and busy urbanite. These 3 picks as featured in this post may be made for ladies, but their no-frills design and utilitarian appeal worked and looked just as well for guys too.
Take for example, the new FW2012 Large Miky Bag... a functional tote style bag with a rounded construction with a 'selleria' touch, highlighted by contrasting seams and extremely versatile. The hand carry handles and shoulder strap makes this bag excellent companion for the office or weekend getaways. I am in love! The soft grained calfskin is divine to the touch and each stitch carefully sewn by exceptionally skilled Tod's artisans.
Next up, I cannot fault the light-weight and understated chic of Tod's new bi-texture totes. Crafted with details in contrasting smooth and grained leather, this full leather tote is surprisingly light-weight and yet sturdy and roomy. The deep burgundy red color is striking but subdued and the black leather with nubuck side panels is seductively chic! I love the size and design. Works perfect for preppy styles of any gentlemen.
Lastly, anyone who reads my blog knows I have an obsession with clutch bags. And this Tod's Astrakhan fur version with a contemporary bar buckle gets my approval. So soft and luxurious in midnight blue... this is indeed an ultimate in clutch bags. The women will love it. But the boys will go crazy for it:-)

That should be the largest size I am carrying. Gorgeous bag I must say and very light despite being full leather.
