The Material Boy #589

Below: Balenciaga remains one of the classic designs that is still going strong after all these years... one of the new shapes that caught my eye is the Squash. Designed with a sportier silhouette and added with the functionality of a shoulder strap, this bag is both roomy and functional to use for gym, school, work or play.

Balenciaga Squash Leather Holdall

I have always adored the lightweight and versatility of Balenciaga Bags. The modern details have survived fashion crowd’s fleeting attention span and managed to stayed a classic favourite till this day. Perhaps the edgy details of studs and details without being over brash made it relevant regardless of seasons.

Throughout the years we have seen many shapes and sizes for Balenciaga bags. But lately, one of the new shapes that caught my eye is the Squash. Designed with a sportier silhouette and added with the functionality of a shoulder strap, this bag is both roomy and functional to use for gym, school, work or play.

For this season, the Balenciaga Squash moved straight to my wishlist with the new SS2013 Maree colour. An indigo blue that breaks away from the expected black and injects colour to the modern guy’s wardrobe. Often, Balenciaga mens bags are quite overwhelming in size, but for the Squash, the length of 44cm is just right without being cumbersome. This is definitely the bag that fits right with the modern guy’s lifestyle and yet looked good while at it.

Available at Mr Porter for £806.96 (or approx. SGD1532) which is a good price for a leather bag.
