Kenzo Fall Winter 2013 Ad Campaign

Below: Kenzo's Fall Winter 2013 Ad Campaign embraces surrealism and has Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi and male model Sean O’Pry in many unexpected but quirky scenarios...such as being pinned down as biology specimens... How cool!
Surrealism For Kenzo Fall Winter 2013 Ad Campaign

All eyes are on Kenzo these days... Carol Lim and Humberto Leon did their magic and revived Kenzo to be one of the coolest, most relevant fashion brand of the moment. Their clothes are bold, modern and always visually engaging. The same can be said of their eye catching ad campaigns too.

Kenzo’s Fall Winter 2013 collection features fantasy-like clouds and 'Third' eye... so it is befitting that the brand embraced surrealism as a key theme for their new advertising imagery. Collaborating with Maurizio Cattelan, Micol Talso and Pierpaolo Ferrari of arts magazine TOILETPAPER, Kenzo takes us on a visual journey most unexpected. Think Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi and male model Sean O’Pry riding on giant manicured hand or wearing multiple cutout eyes. If you want more weirdness, my favourite has to be the couple being pinned down as biology specimens. Phew...What a close call!

Below: How about taking a ride to the skies on a giant hand? Kenzo says yes you can!:-P

With such fresh and quirky scenarios, you cannot help but want a second or third look. Of course, Kenzo’s Fall Winter 2013 pieces worn by the models looked just as amazing. I want to lay my hands on the cloud print coat that Sean is wearing:-P. (Also remember to watch the behind the scenes video above)

Hahah this is actually very typical of what Maurizio Cattelan would do, if you consider his entire body of work.
