Why fixed anything when it is not broken? That is true to be said season after season for Givenchy. Ever since Riccardo Tisci created frenzied buying of anything Givenchy with loud, dark and often visually engaging prints, we can almost predict what will be in stores before the new season merchandise hits the sales floor.
For Fall Winter 2014, the mood was an urban atmosphere that combines the sobriety and geometry of the Bauhaus movement with basketball imagery. The new collection’s inspiration comes not only from basketballs themselves, but also from the design and materials of basketball courts to produce this season’s abstract prints.
So nuff’ said... the hero print of abstact Basketball print will be splashed on all the hot selling merchandise we have come to love (or get bored). Backpacks, shoes and T-shirts... I hear cash registers ringing again for Givenchy.
Beyond the prints, look out for star studs against a deep red hue on sneakers and nightingale bags, as well as backpacks that takes sportive designs into high fashion.
