Bally Navel Suede Travel Bag with White Leather Trim
Bag candy alert! I was shopping at Takashimaya yesterday and was immediately drawn into the store because of this bag that was displayed at their shop window. I just had to try it for myself and find out how much it costs. Called it Bag Candy radar. I could smell a gorgeous bag from a mile away. hehe.
So here you go, another brilliant bag from Bally. Workmanship is simply divine. The suede material might feel heavy, but in fact, when I ask the SA to empty the bag stuffing, the bag was surprisingly light without any contents. The suede is soft and yet enough to hold its own form, so the bag retains a nice shape with crumbling into a pile of mess. The suede will probably soften even more over time but I believe the white leather trimmings will hold the shape. A polished metal tag subtlely brands the bag so at least your 'investment' will not go unnoticed. It seems the tag was used previously for shoes, but now it translates into bags. The SA explained it is sort of like a heritage symbol for the brand.
I love the sand colour and white leather trim. Makes you feel like you are on a sophisticated holiday in Marrakesh or the Sahara Dessert. The size is just right without overwhelming the person carrying it. Best of all, the price is very reasonable for a bag this quality.
Retail price: SGD $2059. Where to buy: Bally Boutique at Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City

Hi Kevin
Like you, i am a Bally fan.
Got this bag by mistake - friend bought the wrong model, some miscomm. But am loving this bag now, though it's a little heavy.
The sand colour and the white leather trimmings give a nice contrast.
