Vogue/CFDA winner and American designer, Billy Reid has charmed fashionable blokes with his unique southern perspective on his menswear designs. His masculine collections each season are inspired by a modern approach to American luxury and cultured Southern dandyism. So it is most appropriate that Coach has picked Billy Reid as their Fall Winter 2013 designer to collaborate for a limited edition collection of bags and accessories. This comes as part of the brand’s ongoing partnership with creative visionaries the likes of Hugo Guinness, James Nares and Krink.
“With his Southern roots and unique outlook, Billy brings a breath of fresh air to fashion,” says Jeffrey Uhl, Senior Vice President of Men’s Design at Coach. “His dedication to craftsmanship, quality and heritage is identical to that embraced by Coach.”
For Billy Reid’s collaboration collection with Coach, expect functional designs that includes bags for men in materials such as pebbled leather, rugged suede and Southern alligator, and a series of special accessories, including alligator-wrapped flasks, a guitar case and a bar accessories kit.
I am already setting my sights on the Billy Reid Archival Leather Day Bag or the Billy Reid Leather Florence Messenger (a hobo style messenger that allows for shoulder carry or cross body sling). Love the version in dusty blue tone which is handsome and interesting.
Coach + Billy Reid Collection will be available exclusively at the Coach Wisma Atria, Singapore from October 2013.
