The Material Boy #278

Below: Small version in light gray

Below: I love this bigger version in navy, more impactful!

Lad Musician Chambray Flower Brooch

Talk about flower brooches (which I have been hunting)...I stumbled upon these beauties by Japanese label, Lad Musician while surfing thru 'The Fashionisto Diaries' blog. A mix of understated and yet flamboyant chrysanthemum flower designs, made from chambray fabric. Lovely against a jacket or even a tee as demonstrated by the modelling pics.

I love it. Sold at www.blackbirdballard.com. The small one retails at USD $80 while the big one (much preferred..just go all the way for visual impact!) is USD $140. It comes in 2 colours, navy and light gray. Not bad for the pricing. A great embellishment to jackets for a dandy-ish, romantic look.

(Oh my... I was shocked to find out Blackbird charges US$50 for international shipping for such a small and light-weight item. It's ridiculous!)

Retail price: US$80 (small) US$140 (big). Where to buy: Blackbird

Love. Chic!

It's understated chic...but the shipping to Singapore is almost half of what the large brooch's price. It's exorbitant!
