Ad Campaigns And Catalogues #45

Gucci Fall Winter 2009 Ad Campaign

Gucci unveiled their new Fall Winter 2009 Ad Campaign in a series of very 'H&M' looking imagery as photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin while being styled by Emmanuelle Alt. 80's sexy and glamourous party boys and girls! The stellar cast of models lending their faces this time range from regular Gucci girl, Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik to Raquel Zimmermann.

What do you think of the campaign? It's sassy, dynamic and what I call extreme posing. Lovely. The ads also fully encapsulate the 80's disco and rock music inspiration of the collection. However, if you slap a H&M brand name to the campaign, it would not feel out of place. My 2 cents worth:-P

But I still love it. Those metallic jeans are beckoning!

(PS. and dun you think one of the girls look 'tranny'? Try and spot her:-P Click on each pic to enlarge and view the details.)

i must concur.. I LOVE IT AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [however] if you look close[ly] at the magazine print AD[s] in some of the high-gloss INTERNATIONAL fashion magazine[s] .. you can see bad sillo[u]etting, and the resolution of some of the image[s] seems very poor.. I mean, I am ALL FOR IT [if it is MEANT] to be that way, and i am a HUGE HUGE FAN Of I+V!!! [don't get me wrong] digitally they look great.. but print in a different story [and it might be me being INSANEly picky] but I am very into the obscure camera angles, and the 80's [over]all feel... PS I NEED THAT BLACK BAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and one of my girls better get those BLACK BOOTS!! ahhhhhhhhhhh!! thank you thank you thank you! xo xo :el fano:

Oh yes, it's cool eh:-)

The styling is gorgeous. I think the use of a wide angle lens has also caused some of the faces on the edges to distort.

Go get those black boots, El Fano!

I loved the whole dynamics of the models and the attitude they portrayed. Some may say it has over-the-top poses but, heck, that's what Gucci's FW collection is all about. It's very party pretty. And from this campaign, it seems that narrow silhouettes for men are gonna go long.

LOL, Kevin, are you talking 'bout Jamie Bochert (tranny looking model).. Haha.. I don't get her appeal either..

Anyway as for the campaign, its a GREAT cast but that's about it..

I totally laughed out loud when I saw Raquel's pose on the third shot.. Hahaha..
