Mulberry Spring Summer 2010 Presentation, Soho House, New York Fashion Week

Attention all Mulberry fans...yes, ladies...it's time to ogle a season in advance for the arm candies Mulberry is coming up with for Spring Summer 2010!:-) New York is privileged enough to get a taste of what's to come first:-) even before Mulberry's presentation at London Fashion Week where the brand typically shows:-)

Mulberry's Spring Summer 2010 collection took place yesterday at the Soho House, New York to the likes of A-list fashion folks from Carine Roitfeld, Brenda Bailey to New York's latest fashion obsession, Alexa Chung.

Emma Hill is inspired by many references in this latest Mulberry collection:-)

For next season, she wants the ladies of Mulberry to let their hair down (literally in a explosive manner!) and take a trip down to fun fair land, clad in bubble gum hues of hot pinks, bright blues, sunny yellows partnered with lots of leopard prints:-) We see them on iconic bags(such as Bayswater and Bayswater clutch) and shoes, most notably in shades of pink or white and brown. 'Wild girls' on the loose?!?!

The setting for the presentation sees carousel horses in the background, which aptly expresses the mood of the collection. Wild girls with a sweet side. No matter what the references, Mulberry is definitely ready to herald in a brighter and more optimistic Spring Summer 2010:-)

If there is one bag to stand out from the collection, it has to be the Alexa Bag, proudly previewed by none other than Alexa Chung herself. The school bag style messenger features interesting braided top handle, a slim shoulder strap and double buckled flap opening in a soft slouchy shape! It's another Mulberry icon in the making and I can even see it in the arms of fashion forward male fashionistos too:-)

The ready to wear pieces are a somewhat girly affair, accented by big bows, puffed sleeves, flowery ruffles and hints of cowgirl tassels and rock girl studs:-P Sweet-tough opposing themes which makes for an interesting collection but most important of all, it's for fun girls who relish a fun day out be it at the fairgrounds or out and about town!:-)

Enjoy the pics! Thanks again to Mulberry for sharing these pics. Can't wait for their London Fashion Week presentation which will probably be even more spectacular. Will report as and when information comes my way...stay tuned!

I just can't help thinking that the Alexa, although very cute, looks similar to the PS1. Don't you think?

Mulberry's color palettes has alot of the carnival colors going on. It's definitely fun and funky. Reminds me of cotton candy.
