Burberry To Close London Fashion Week!

Burberry, the UK fashion luxury label returns to London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010:-) Fans of the brand, be sure to look out for Burberry's Spring Summer 2010 womenswear show taking place on Tuesday, 22 Sep 09 at the Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in Westminster, London! The Burberry show celebrates 25 years of London Fashion Week and the British Fashion Council.

With the show, Burberry will also close London Fashion Week followed by a big after event party that is going to be something to remember:-P

For the first time, the Burberry show will be streamed live directly from the show space in London at live.burberry.com and online viewers worldwide can even share personal comments on the collection. Now that is keeping up with technology that is befitting a trend leader in the fashion industry!

The Burberry show space at the Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in Westminster, will be the first time the Parade Ground will be used to host a fashion show. The venue is a massive 3500 square metres and will feature a catwalk 40 metres long while seating 150 people in the front row! No expense and effort is spared to make this an exceptionally memorable event! Here's what Christopher Bailey has to say about the venue:

“Both our show and party are taking place in Westminster - it is such an iconic, great part of London with the Thames, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben and is also where we shot our last ad campaign. We are doing the show at the Chelsea College of Art and Design where we’ve designed this incredible space within the parade ground, which is within walking distance of Horseferry House our global headquarters, where we are going to have the party that closes London Fashion Week. It’s going to be a celebration of British fashion, British creativity and of Burberry being back home in London and we are all so excited about it.”

Christopher Bailey, Burberry Creative Director

Of course a high profile event like this cannot end without any celebratory after parties. So British model Agyness Deyn and British television presenter Alexa Chung will both be DJing at the after-show event. Now that's Burberry girls with great style, wit and talent:-P

Beyond the high glamour and prestige of the runway show, Burberry will continue its longstanding history of supporting the arts and education. The brand is delighted to announce that it will be sponsoring the Chelsea College of Art and Design’s 2010 Textile Competition next year, showing its support for emerging art talent in the UK. I love it when reputable brand names gives back to society and show their appreciation for the support. Nurturing the next generation of talents is one of the best ways to show their commitment to the cause! Way to go Burberry:-)
