Mulberry Magaret: 'We Believe In Tea And Cake'
This is such an adorable range of bags from Mulberry's Fall Winter 2010 collection. Witty with English eccentricity and their sly sense of humour. These bags may look sophisticated and serious in exterior...but if you examine closely at the new crest insignia, you will smile:-P
The crest is actually depicted with a belt looping around the Mulberry Tree symbol, with 2 bulldogs each balancing a teapot and cupcake respectively on their heads. A nice little crown sits above the Mulberry Tree with the words 'We Believe In Tea And Cake'. There can be no more appropriate association to Mulberry's English roots than this statement! English just love their afternoon teas:-)
So I feel this bag will be most suited for tea with 'royalty' or with good friends out for a 'chi chi' afternoon get together. Comes in a larger size Magaret Shoulder Bag or Mini Bag, all with a chain shoulder strap. Very classy and elegant in grape coloured suede, black matte leather or soft pebbled plum. But nothing beats the Drizzle (light grey) Ostrich Mini Bag version which is an exotic leather lover's dream... the gold tone hardware against the light grey colour is a match made in heaven! (The shoulder bag measures H22cm x W32cm x D12cm with a handle drop of 28cm. The Mini Bag is H17cm x W21cm x D9cm with a handle drop of 29cm.)
Besides shoulder bags, there are also fabulous suede clutches in Grape, Plum and Black bearing the quirky new crest. Dimensions for the clutch are H15.5cm x W29.5cm x D2.5cm.
Besides bags, the Magaret range also comes with zip around pouch, bracelets and belts for a full match up!
I am a fan already! I wish these insignia will appear in the men's range in the future... it feels so regal with a humourous twist:-P

these bags are from the fall winter 2010 collection, so it will only be available in the later half of 2010. We are still in Spring Summer 2010 season:-)
