The Runway Sniper #40

Below: The much well received Alexa Bag...in different incarnations.
This time in a bi-material version.

Below: There is even a clutch 'offshoot' of the bag:-P Mulberry definitely believes in this design:-)

Below: The house icon, Bayswater reworked with quilting or even a big bow...

Below: Hot pink bags are outstanding...but I am not sure about the versatility and longevity of the colour. So what do the ladies think?

Below: More Mulberry exotics to add to the bag range... this time in a hobo style tote...

Below: Or lemon yellow croc embossed suede? So 'yummy' to the eyes:-)

Below: Hobo bags seem to 'invade' the presentation...

Below: Braided handles white tote...

Below: Mulberry's speedy style handbag with red patent leather accents and lock detail...

Below: Is that Emma Hill's son? Isn't he adorable?

Mulberry Spring Summer 2010 Presentation, Claridges Hotel, London Fashion Week

Although there was already a showing at New York Fashion week, Mulberry did not miss out on presenting to its home crowd during the recent London Fashion Week. Again, a backdrop of colourful balloons and carnival horses sets the theme for the presentation. Colours and a youthful vibe was key themes in the new Mulberry SS2010 collection, as does leopard prints which has been a steady trend on so many runways.

One of the best offerings Mulberry has in stored for us next season will be the already well received Alexa Bag inspired by none other than Alexa Chung. Here we see even more incarnations of the gorgeous arm candy. This time round in a beige colour or bi-material version. We even get a clutch fashioned with similar detailings. I think this bag is going to be a hit for Mulberry next season. The soft slouchy shape makes the bag easy to wear, the size is perfect for girls...and the masculine femininity charm (the bag does look like a school boy bag:-) all attributes to a good bag in the making.

Other offerings include a speedy looking small duffel with red patent leather and lock accents, a white braided handle tote and more bayswater with reworked details such as addition of bows and quilting. The brown leather and baby blue quilted Bayswater is one of my favourites too. An interesting take on a house icon. Somewhat Chanel-ish but not exactly. However, I am not too confident about the abundance of bright pink bags in the collection. Hot pink is not exactly going to be an easy colour to carry although it makes a good fashion statement.

Which ones will be your favourite? Mine's easily the Alexa. I may snag myself one next season!
