Goyard Passport Cover In Noir

At last, it's time to 'cut' my long overdue 'birthday cake'! (before it starts going bad:-P)

Let's start with the 'chocolate' icing:-) Yummy!

So what's that 'chocolate goodie' I am treating myself? It's none other than Goyard's lovely Passport Cover in Noir. When I visit the Goyard boutique in Mount Street, London... I told myself I had to buy something to commemorate my 'virgin' patronage to a new store. After much scouring around to search the right item with the right price and practicality to purchase, I narrow it down to the St. Louis tote or this passport cover. Since I already have too many bags and a new Givenchy one just acquired in Paris, bags suddenly do not seem like a good idea. Furthermore, St. Louis totes are getting too common anywhere. Everyone owns one and it is sold more and more commonly everywhere.(Hide and Seek in Singapore stocks the bag.)

However, this passport holder is a different story. I doubt this is sold very commonly. It is also a simple little accessory that is practical for use on my travels. Featuring 5 card slots and 2 huge side pockets for passport and other documents, this passport cover will help me get organised on any trips, probably shorter ones. (I leave the more complex travel vacation documents for my more roomy Mulberry Refined Travel Purse). Beyond working as a passport cover, I feel it will make a nice card wallet on a normal day to day outing.

Goyard's has varied pricing for different colours of their products. Black being the most basic and cost the least while yellow and other brighter colours fetch a higher price tag. Very odd. Black is usually the most prized colour and costs the most.

Nonetheless, my preference was for black colour anyway, so I am not complaining. I therefore became a happy Goyard customer. The sales lady even allowed me to take a pic of my shopping bag on her cashier counter. She must think asians are strange people to be fascinated with photo taking, to the extent of silly shopping bags:-P.

My first Goyard acquisition and the workmanship do not disappoint. Every dot on the Goyard pattern is painstakingly painted, every stitch carefully sewn. Lovely addition to my 'travel arsenal':-P

Retail price: £250. Where to buy: Goyard Boutique at Mount Street, London

Stunning! I think black is a wise choice. I am actually worried about my Pergamena white Valextra travel documents holder how it will hold up clean over time. Congrats!

It looks nice, but why bother using a passport cover? Only places where you need to show your passport are immigration points and they want to see the passport without any cover. I thought Singaporeans are proud to show their 'small red book' everywhere they go :P

Oh, to protect the passport from creasing. And to hold all the credit cards and kriflyer cards for easy access and get organised:-P
