My MANy Bags News #196

Below: Smoked Check Sling Bag with brass rivets and buckle - £695. (Abbey Lee Kershaw was clutching this on the catwalk... I love her look and how this bag looks on her!)

Below: Abbey Lee Kershaw clutching the sling bag on the runway... She's my new favourite model:-)

Below: Armour Stud Sling Bag in tan colour - £995 (Want some tough chic? These studs on this hot bag is your answer!)

Below: Quilted Shearling Sling Bag - £995. (Derivative from the gorgeous shearling aviator inspired coats in the collection. This one has a tough luxe look which I adore.)

Below: Mega Check Sling Bag with Shearling Trims and Buckle - £795. (If leather is not your thing, then this distinctive Burberry mega checks version might be a good alternative.)

Below: Alligator Sling Bag with Metallic Nails and Buckle - £8000. (Here comes the exotics! And this Alligator version with the cool metallic nails gives the wearer an edge and glamour at the same time. Gorgeous colour of ochre. Comes in a darker shade of muted brown, Bark as well.)

Below: Plissé Leather Hobo Bag with Brass Rivets - £995. (Although it resembles YSL's Roady at the first look... the shoulder sling strap makes this a highly versatile everyday arm companion while looking chic. It's also roomy and the interesting Plissé leather is texturally interesting.)

Below: Plissé Python Hobo Bag - £4000. (If you have the spare cash, this python version is just TDF! Love the Burgundy colour. Comes in tobacco and uniform blue colours as well.)

Below: Plissé Python Sling Bag - £1995. (More plissé python leather bags... absolutely beautiful in sling bag style too.)

With initiatives likes these, Burberry will be remembered as a forerunner in successfully integrating fashion with technology. Fashion has truly evolved from exclusivity for the selected few to a social conversation that everyone can participate. Just look at all the twitter comments during the show!

Here's my pick of the 8 top gorgeous bags from last night's show. I am delighted that exotics skins like python and alligator have been unabashedly and luxuriously used. I love them, especially the interesting technique as seen on the plissé python skin. The sling bags in its saddle shape works great as clutches or shouder bags for both work and play.

Which ones are your favourite?
