My MANy Bags News #258

Below: It seems Singapore's retail scene has been very busy with new store openings and launches... from last week's Mulberry Alexa Chung event and tonight, Tod's Takashimaya store reopening. Keep those parties coming! Thanks to Bagaholicboy for the invite:-)

Below: Check out the crowd gathering outside the newly renovated Tod's store... guess who has the star power to make all these fans and guests appear in such huge numbers?!?!?

Below: Cameras ready... all in anticipation of the celebrity guest... (can all of you guess whose arm is that with the camera?:-P Starts with B...)

Below: The celebrity guest is none other than Hong Kong TV and movie star, Louis Koo. Hunk power! I love his jacket with the 'duct tape' detailing. Anyone know where is it from? Margiela? (it's Viktor and Rolf Fall 2009)

Below: Time to cut the ribbon!

Below: And a toast for good luck and celebration. Tod's newly renovated store at Takashimaya is now officially opened!

Below: Louis Koo being interviewed by the local media...

Below: I was this close to Louis Koo... love his tan. (although that makes him hard to capture with the right lighting on camera... he is really tan!)

Below: The new store is brighter and stocks more range... love the red suede boots:-)

Tod's Takashimaya, Singapore Re-opening with Celebrity Guest, Louis Koo

Thanks to Bagaholicboy, as of last night I can declare I have added another celebrity (a super hunky one to drool!) to my 'Kevin's Famous People To Meet' List:-) Yes, I was about an arms length close to Hong Kong celebrity Louis Koo last night (3 Sep 2010) at the re-opening of Tod's store, Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City (Singapore). Hordes of fans and guests alike crowd the newly renovated store, all enthusiastically waiting to catch a glimpse of this superstar. Indeed, Louis Koo does not disappoint. Spotting his signature healthy/sporty tan, Louis Koo was an eye candy up close and personal. Dressed in a smart jacket (With interesting duct tape detailing! Anyone can tell me where it is from? Margiela?) and pants, he officially opened the new store with a ribbon cutting ceremony alongside Tod's and Takashimaya's management.

Beyond all the star spotting, me and the 'Singapore blog contingent' (an ever expanding one too:-P) of Bagaholicboy, Ms Glitzy, Story Of A Dot, One Sixty Notepad, Rock The Trend, Poise Polish, Fash-eccentric all enjoyed the free flow of champagne, the endless fondling of the new fall arrivals and chocolate strawberries. Yum!

What do you think of me and the bright yellow suede Tod's loafer with bow lace detail? Or how about the version in my favourite colour of Khaki green? I think I love both. Oh my, 'Bank account depletion' alert! Lastly, if you are a fan of Louis Koo, please note the plain yellow suede version was touched and fondled by Mr Koo himself. I saw it with my own eyes. Grab it so you can brag that Louis has touched your new Tod's shoe. Pardon my 'Fan boy' talking:-)

Below: Yellow suede loafers is love (SGD670)!

Below: What about the Khaki green version? Drools...

Below: Fan boys, please note this yellow pair has been touched by Louis Khoo himself...size 7.5, top rack.. grab it so you can brag that Louis Khoo touched your shoes!:-P

Once again, another wonderful evening to be had. Keep those parties coming!

*Update: a reader just confirmed that the blazer is from Viktor And Rolf, Fall Winter 2009 collection*

The duck tape blazer is from Viktor and Rolf from sometime last year. I saw it at Joyce last year in Hong Kong. :D
