Anyone for the latest Spring Summer 2011 Hermès Birkin in bi-material of calf leather and lizard skin trimmings?
Stunning or letdown? What do you guys think? It's a contemporary colour combination, luxurious and modern...but does it lose the essence of this bag's classic appeal?

great for a 3rd birkin. but if you're going to have only one birkin, stick to a single color, non-exotic leather, plain hardware (not guilloche or diamond) type that you can actually use a lot.
for a second birkin one should have the toile-barenia type, because that's a classic Hermès. if you can find a vintage one, that's even better because of the patina. not to mention the price. :-)
