'Streetstyle Pic' Inspired Purchase: Trussardi Holiday Print Pouch

Streestyle pictures do sell goods... at least to me. Sourcing all over the web for pics of stylish guys during the recent Mens Fashion Week SS2014 pose much risk for my wallet. Unknowingly, I get attracted to items spotted on these guys... how he use or style it... and after being inspired, my wandering eyes convinced my brain I had to have it.

Like past fashion seasons, my wallet did not escape my 'saving the economy' this time either. After finding this brilliant picture of this guy carrying Trussardi’s Holiday Print Nylon Pouch at Pitti Uomo SS2014... I need the pouch! I have already blogged about the matching tote bag before, so this pic affirms my attraction. The cute Italian-inspired holiday scenarios (from Vespa to Sailboats) makes me smile. And prints always add interest to an outfit especially when happy ones reminded me of past European vacations. Who can resist that:P

Then I saw Matches Fashion having 50% markdowns on the pouch at an incredible £57 ... I'd knew that Visa card is ready for action:-P

I ended up with not only the pouch but the matching tote as well... Success to Streetstyle pics for  making me contribute to the ailing UK economy. Thank you, dude in the pic!

What The Men Wore: Milan Mens Fashion Week Spring Summer 2014

Milan Fashion Week Spring Summer 2014 has come to a close... and what have the boys wore during the shows? I have collected many pictures from different streetstyle photographers to give us an insight into what’s favoured by fashion savvy guys this season.

There seems to many varied styles in Milan, unlike Pitti Uomo which is more sartorial. But one thing’s constant over both events, every fashion savvy guy needs a pair of trainers! Match with suits or chinos or shorts, it’s the go-to footwear to stay on trend. I especially love those Valentino Rockrunner Trainers for their luxurious designs in brilliant colours and camouflage pattern.

Prints are also rampant... be it subtle, like micro dots and shapes or all out brash with full on imagery. Portfolio bags are indispensable too. Boys just love their 'man clutches'. Which looks are inspiring you? All in all, dress right to show your personality and fit your body type. There's a thin line between fashionable and fashion victim. Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy is one of the most important event in men’s fashion calendar. Known for the more classic line-up of brands presenting at the tradeshow, elegant gentlemen often flood the streets during this time. I love collecting streetstyle pics from Pitti Uomo, which showed us classics and good sense of style are not always flashy and fleeting.

So what are the boys wearing while attending Pitti Uomo 84: Spring Summer 2014?

Prints are the rage this time around, or more specifically, florals. Mini ones, huge hawaiian versions or graphic interpretations... boys can’t get enough of colours and flowers as much as ladies.

Balanced well, are the ever classic masculine blue/navy blues where blazer, jackets and shirts are spotted on many well clad gentlemen. Mr Porter has a video showcasing how a navy blazer is such a versatile piece in any men’s wardrobe, that can fit in many different occasions, from formal to casual. One downside to the collection, everything seemed very familiar. Polka dots, stripes and colours are simply too easy references for an established designer like Christopher Bailey. I wished there were more original details or prints that would have added depth and exclusivity for Burberry Prorsum, considering the line is Burberry’s trend forward collection. Ricardo Tisci has decreed that camouflage, florals and neon colours are here to stay... at least for Givenchy’s Pre-spring 2014 menswear collection. The clash of masculine and feminine themes spark off a explosive visual appeal, impactful and unexpected.

Watch out for floral plaid shirts, neon coloured camo tights, striped pattern sweatshirts that cleverly mixes street with high fashion. For once, the boys also get some bag loving with man size friendly Lucrezia bags and other wild printed duffle man bags to please Givenchy fans.

There is a balance between kitsch and style. In a miraculous way, Givenchy managed to tread within to create yet another visually arresting collection that will resonate well with fans.

Loewe Amazona 24H Bag

Loewe’s Amazona bags belong to the revered group of iconic arm companions that define the brand that created them. Last weekend, I discovered the Loewe Amazona 24H Bag (an intermediate size between the women’s handbag and weekender) which have set me obsessing ever since. It was a love at first sight. Measuring a handy 44cm width, this 24H version, as the name suggests, pack enough to last a weekend getaway, yet handy to use for day-to day commuting. The subtle branding complimented with sparing amounts of hardware (love the lock and double zipper pulls) makes the Amazona 24H Bag handsome and timeless.

Right now, my heart is in love with the full leather version (comes in Black, Ox Blood and Ocean colour) but if you are a fan of suede, go for the signature colour ways of Gold suede and Brown combination. This one has a leather interior that makes the bag extra luxurious. Alternatively, go for a customised version that lets you decide your preferred colour for the exterior, lining and hardware. Today, I tried on a customised navy coloured version with gold hardware and leather lining. It was the most gorgeous thing I have seen recently which strengthened my resolve to get my own! Whatever the combination, the Amazona 24H bag remains remarkably light-weight despite its full leather construction.

Heart throb Ryan Reynolds was spotted last week in London with Blake Lively for Gucci's "Chime For Change" charity concert. Ryan himself is already a sight to behold, but his all blue outfit makes him even more attractive. Most noteworthy, his bright blue Gucci Nappa Leather Jacket, slim fitted to perfection, complimenting the matching blue trousers, shirt and tie and of course his hot bod. He looks good both clean shaven or with stubble. Drool time officially starts...

Piling tone on tone of the same hue is an easy way to wear colour. I give Ryan credit for working some fashion inspiration. I am inspired to wear the colour now!

Singer John Legend was photographed wearing the same Gucci blue nappa leather jacket earlier this year, while attending “The Sound Of Change Live” premiere at the Corinthia Hotel in London, United Kingdom. Who do you think wore the jacket better? My vote goes to Ryan of course, except he should have worn his tight jeans slightly lower on the waist. Let your 'family jewels' have some breathing space!
