My MANy Bags News #379

Below: The latest Spring Summer 2013 collaboration from Missoni and Converse breaks away from the Chuck Taylors from previous collections and introduces the Auckland Racer silhouette for Missoni's signature fabrics and prints... when have you seen a sports trainers done with a woven fabric? Refreshing... I love it!
Missoni x Converse Spring Summer 2013 Collection Auckland Racer

We have seen trainers taking the men’s fashion spotlight for Spring Summer 2013. Everyone is riding on the trainers trend. Missoni x Converse have been collaborating for a few seasons now converting the classic Converse Chuck Taylor’s style into luxurious high fashion statements that won the hearts of many fashion fans. The collection has gone from strength to strength, and for Spring Summer 2013, their collaboration is headed to a refreshing direction. No longer are the Missoni signature fabrics and prints applied to a Chuck Taylor design, they are now on a more dynamic and sporty silhouette, the Auckland Racer. Shown on Missoni’s Spring Summer 2013 mens runway, the trainers comes in a multi-stitch fabric featuring either a multi-color or grayscale gradient-fade pattern. Each shoe features a wool/viscose upper, premium canvas lining sitting atop thick white rubber soles. The style is timely and fits well with the present New Balance and Valentino sneakers craze.

This new limited edition Missoni x Converse collection (Euro 240) will be available from March 29, 2013 at Missoni boutiques and select Converse retailers around the world. Or if you have no access to these stores, grab them online at Tres Bien Shop now (Click here)!

Missoni Multi Coloured Knitted 'Zig Zag' Patterned Scarf

Matches Fashion stocks some of the most drool worthy collections to buy. So when they offered free shipping last week to anywhere in the world, I knew I had to take advantage of this offer:-)

What caught my eye this time are the gorgeous multi coloured Missoni knitted scarves for sale online.

I had recently blog about Missoni's woven suede leather belt. While researching for pictures for the post, I fell in love with the looks of the models wearing the colourful knitted scarves from Missoni's Spring Summer 2009 collection. Being hailed as king of knits, Missoni does supremely beautiful and intricate knits. The patterns and colours are gorgeous!

Matches Fashion offers a good selection of Missoni scarves from the women's section. There were too many pretty colours and I had a tough time picking just one. The prices was also attractive, especially sans the shipping costs and UK VAT, making these light weight knitted scarves an even better buy! Finally after much deliberation, I settled on this scarf with a zig zag pattern in coral, pink and black. This will not only be great on summer wear, but it can transcend into night as a glamourous evening scarf on blazers or jackets. The black colour helps in achieving this.

With that in mind, I placed my order last Sunday...and surprise:-P... I got the parcel today! Nicely wrapped in luxurious Matches Fashion packaging, the scarf is of a generous length, super lightweight and gorgeous as expected:-) Looking forward to buying from them again!

Fashion Inspiration - Missoni And Suede Woven Belts

Missoni And Suede Woven Belts

Recently I bought a Massimo Dutti Suede Woven Belt. Just when I thought I am done with the belt, I got inspired by these runway pics of Missoni's Spring Summer 2009 Menswear collection. The belt I got seemed a bit long even when fastened to the first hole and I was not used to the end protruding out too much. But these Missoni models flaunt the woven belt styles with the long dangling ends, making it nonchalant and easy. Missoni's looks are imbued with a Navajo feel (mid west American inspiration) or island chic...perfect for the explorer or holiday maker in you. I love the inspirations:-) Great with cut-off jeans or even shorts and coloured pants:-)
