Gucci Spring Summer 2016 GG Supreme Canvas Mens Bags And Accessories

Below: Asian influences are one of the key trends seen on the mens fashion runways this Spring Summer 2016. Check out these new Gucci Bags charmingly infused with Chinese influenced motifs... Love the appliqués of birds and bees on the XL GG Floral Print Canvas tote and backpack...

Below: The new Tian GG collections takes chinese influences even further with nature prints inspired by 18th century Chinese screens and tapestries...
Gucci Spring Summer 2016 GG Supreme Canvas Mens Bags and Accessories

Asian themes are invading the mens runways for Spring Summer 2016. Louis Vuitton, Dolce Gabbana, Astrid Anderson and Marc Jacobs are some designers showing some form of interpretations of far east influences in their collections. While some of us (especially if you are chinese) might frown upon images of dragons and phoenix patterns on our fashion pieces (think chinese triad and gangsters or simply too old fashion perhaps:-P), but the rest of the world, especially the West might disagree.

Thankfully, the designers are not using these motifs wholesale and have injected their modern take, be it through colours, stylised imagery or production techniques. Gucci is one good example, where the brand has continued to refresh their once tired GG monograms and injecting new excitement to their mens bag collection.

I love the XL GG floral tote and backpack... it is kitsch in a fashionable way to have mixes of botany prints with embroidered bird and bee motifs.

The new Tian GG collection pushes chinese references even further, using GG Supreme Monogram canvas as backgrounds for floral motifs inspired by Chinese landscapes found on 18th-century tapestries and screens. Flowers, insects and birds-including dragonflies, butterflies and hummingbirds in colourful hues adding a unique east meets west flavour to these outstanding accessories. Choose from totes (USD1850) to duffle bags (USD1850), pouches and small leather goods. You either love or hate them. Thankfully, I am on the 'love' side:-P

Gucci Fall Winter 2015 Mens Bags, Shoes And Accessories

Below: Alessandro Michele's Fall Winter 2015 mens collection for Gucci has garnered a lot of buzz among the fashion circle... renewed interest for the brand has definitely made Gucci cool again. Check out the new collection of shoes, bags and accessories. Love the fur lined horsebit loafers and sandals... how about you?
Below: You either love or hate these fur lined Horsebit Slippers... the fashion crowd definitely embraced them during the recent SS2016 mens fashion week in Europe...
Below: Handbag-ish satchels challenges the perception of bag designs for guys... will you carry these? I love the ornate hardware!

Gucci Fall Winter 2015 Mens Bags, Shoes And Accessories

It is no doubt Alessandro Michele’s ascension to the creative directorship of Gucci was filled with corporate drama the likes you see on American TV drama. But the conversations generated by his feminism infused menswear for Fall Winter 2015 rivalled or even exceeded that ‘talkability’ amongst the fashion circle. Editors, bloggers, reporters were definitely paying renewed attention to the ailing brand once again. The gender bender looks and designs of Alessandro’s Gucci menswear are not everyone’s cup of tea, and perhaps that is why it garnered so much buzz.

Fur lined horsebit slippers and loafers and handbag-ish satchel bags were the key pieces presented. You either love it or hate it. But in my opinion, they were a good respite from the sporty themes flooding the menswear scene for so many seasons now. I am just glad there is another choice for guys looking for something other than sporty sneakers and backpacks again and again. So yes, I love the furry horsebit slippers. May not be exactly practical, but they are interesting from a fashion viewpoint. The ornate hardware on the satchel bags are simply stunning and luxurious too.

Below: Gucci logo belts have been frowned upon previously... but now they are looking cool and relevant once again!
Besides these controversial pieces, look out for GG logo belt, once frowned upon but now made cool again. Definitely going to air out and start wearing my old Gucci belts next Fall winter!:-P

What are your thoughts for the new Gucci mens collection? Will you wear or buy into these bold propositions for men?

Below: Beautiful jewellery for men... the new Gucci men definitely are not shy to accessorise!

Only time will tell if Alessandro will be another Kering success story after Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent.

Gucci Flora Knight Mens Bags Collection

Below: Gucci wants us boys to embrace nature and prints this Spring Summer 2015... their Flora Knight collection of mens bags are stunning and sexy, colourful against a black background. Definitely a pattern that guys will not feel shy to carry around. Love!
Below: Comes in totes, backpacks and clutch bags... as well as a useful travel trolley. Now you can truly travel in style:-)
Gucci Flora Knight Mens Bags Collection

Florals and plants have been a constant source of inspiration for designers when designing for Spring Summer seasons. Botanical prints bring about a flamboyant sense of joy and freedom. Nature have a way to enthralled us with all their colours and beautiful organic forms.

Just as Valentino has gone full on for prints this SS2015, Gucci launches their Flora Knight collection that gets us back in touch with mother nature, albeit in a sexier and luxurious way. Whimsical, colour botanical and floral motifs set against a dark background add a sense of mystery, offsetting the colours to showcase the brilliance of the pattern. Perfect on mens accessories, the collection introduces the prints on coveted mens canvas and leather backpacks (€890), totes (€695), clutch bags (€260) and even travel trolleys (USD2950). Boys will not lose out to the ladies this season especially when it comes to stunning prints.

These patterned bags will make ideal travel companions when you basked under a warm summer sun in Tuscany or lounge beachside in Bali.

I want the backpack!

Gucci Fall Winter 2014 Ramble Reversible Tote

Below: This Fall Winter 2014 Gucci Ramble Reversible Tote is 2 gorgeous bags in one... with contrasting colours/ materials that makes your 'style investments' go that extra mile! I love duality in my fashion pieces:-) Comes in a variety of leather colours, even one with python skin... timeless design with great style indeed.

Below: Since I feel 'logomania' may be making a comeback... I vote for this version (below) which reverses from a gorgeous nut brown to GG monogram canvas... Love!
Gucci Fall Winter 2014 Ramble Reversible Tote

I am all for making my ‘style investments’ go that extra mile. Hence, any fashion item that has duality functions get my vote anyday. So today I am happy to report my latest shopping find that embodies this quality. Check out Gucci’s Fall Winter 2014 Ramble Reversible Tote which gets you twice the style power in 2 contrasting colours/materials for 2 bags with one price! I love the fact that Gucci uses very different hues to make the reversible function more distinctive and you truly feel you are getting a new style each time you flip the bag around.

Reversible fun not withstanding... the timeless and elegant design will ensure the bag stays relevant season after season. Armed with a shoulder strap as well, you can also have 2 ways of carrying... tote on hand or sling with shoulder. How perfect is that?

Since I sense an impending return to logomania... the Gucci Ramble tote in Nut Brown reversible to the GG monogram canvas (USD1750) gets my vote! I love the iconic monogram against the tan brown tone ... which makes it nostalgia chic amidst interchangeable styles. The light blue and tan version (Approx SGD3800 or USD2650) looks incredible as well... a warm and cool colour to suit any mood on any occassion. Made for women but the gender neutral design makes this a good contender for guys as well.

In Gucci stores in Singapore now. Go check them out. Leather is incredibly luxurious to handle:-)

Spring Summer 2014 Prints For The Boys!

Below: Prints for summer 2014? Zara and Peter Pilloto for Target has amazingly affordable and fun printed sneakers for warmer days ahead!

Below: Saw this olive green floral patterend Gucci tote this weekend... love at first sight...
Spring Summer 2014 Prints For The Boys: Zara, Peter Pilotto for Target And Gucci

Prints are a definite must have for Spring Summer 2014. Not only for the girls but also for the boys. There has never been a better time to inject some flamboyance and colour to usher in the new warmer months. From florals to graphic patterns, prints appear on almost any aspect of the wardrobe... Shoes, shirts, trousers, bags and more.  Wear them for vacations, hit the beaches... Injecting colours and pattern will excite any wardrobe and give new dimension to your style.

Here’s some great pieces I found to help kick start your summer prints adoption...

1) Nothing better than shoes to wear prints and florals. Footwear in patterned designs will always be fun and not an overkill. Sneakers and slip-ons are perfect for casual days outdoors enjoying the sun. While hitting the stores this weekend, I spotted 2 graphic and floral print sneakers from Zara which is visually appealing and easy on your pockets. One features a floral pattern in browns and taupe while the other is an exciting green hue geometric pattern. I love them! At SGD109... definitely worth considering for the new season. Besides Zara, Peter Pilotto for Target’s affordable and chic collection includes 2 interesting patterned slip-ons. Again, one in floral and one in a monotone geometric pattern. At USD40 on Net-a-porter, they are summertime’s best buys! Just buy a couple of sizes up if you are a guy, since the collection is for the fairer gender.

2) Canvas totes are summertime’s best companion. And with floral prints, they become summertime’s most appropriate and formidable style statement. I love Gucci’s olive green floral canvas tote (Euro695... and Singapore’s Gucci store has them in stock!). Using a olive tone background retains masculinity to the otherwise feminine pattern and tone them down jus right for the boys. And if budget allows, the tote cum backpack design in perforate floral print leather is functional and cool.

Time to welcome sunny days with patterns!

Gucci Floral Print Mens Shoes For Spring Summer 2014

Below: With Floral prints taking centre stage in Spring Summer 2014 Menswear key trends, shoes are the best way to hop on this style statement without suffering from overkill and looking like a wannabe. Gucci's 1953 Horsebit loafers is classic and made even more fun with colourful paisley motifs!

Below:Even sporty sneakers are getting a touch of flower power at Gucci... Love the olive green floral print high top!
Gucci Floral Print Mens Shoes For Spring Summer 2014

A bohemian spirit is in the air for Spring Summer 2014... Floral prints are running amok this season. Girls are no longer exclusively enjoying this feminine pattern. Boys are now getting them in all sorts of variety, fearless in embracing some flamboyance to their style. Many brands are propagating flower power on the runways, from Prada to Dries Van Noten and also Gucci. From bold graphic versions to soft romantic designs, there is no denying guys love their florals as much as the ladies.

Embracing this prominent trend for SS2014 in smaller doses is the best way to not suffer an overkill in clashing patterns. Ready to wear may look wannabe on many guys. So I recommend shoes as the best way to express your flower statement without trying too hard. Gucci's SS2014 floral prints on their mens shoes has the right blend of masculine sophistication with summer friendly flamboyance for any savvy gentlemen.

I love the Gucci 1953 Horsebit Loafer in Paisley Canvas (USD590), in gorgeous tones of teals and beiges. The gold hardware accent adds a right amount of bling while the classic shape ensures timeless style. If you want an evening appropriate design, go for the Flower Print Jacquard Evening Moccasin (USD595) in mauve purple hue which is both romantic and outstanding.

For the sporty types, there are perforated leather sneakers (USD595) or canvas high-tops (USD525) spotting floral motifs against olive green tones balancing masculinity with the flamboyance.

However, my heart rests with the canvas espadrilles (USD260) which at such a good price will make for a handy summer vacation footwear sans a huge dent in your wallet.

All that is left is to plan a holiday for a good reason to get these gorgeous Gucci shoes!

Gucci Cruise 2014 'Beach Vacation Ready' Totes

Below: Planning a beach vacation already? These beach vacation friendly Gucci totes sure get those travel bugs in me excited...:-P I want this parasol print navy tote for my beach or pool essentials

Below: Woven leather handle leather totes will take you from beach to town, day to night easily... Love the navy one, which brings to mind some nautical inspiration:-)

Beach Vacation Ready: I Love These Gucci Cruise 2014 Totes

Summertime calls for some outdoor vacation. Beach time is essential for warm weather days. And before you head for any oceanfront destination, a good beach friendly tote bag is indispensable. I found some from Gucci’s Cruise 2014 collection. One design particularly caught my eye... a parasol print canvas version (US$750) in red white and navy... The colours and theme screams vacation and anything that reminds me of that gets top marks.

For die hard leather fans, check out 2 different but similar leather totes with fine woven leather handles (From US$3200)... adding a touch of rustic luxury but oh so perfect for in and out of the beach.

I know some parts of the world are now shrouded with bitter cold... but just thoughts of summertime should lift those dull spirits. Especially when you imagine strutting down the beachwalk looking fabulous and tan with these gorgeous bags:-P

I want a beach vacation already!

Gucci Pre-fall 2013 '1953 Horsebit Loafers' in Tartan and Printed Jaguar

Below: Gucci wins my heart yet again with these gorgeous 1953 Horsebit Loafers in both handsome tartan and striking printed jaguar pattern. Perfect for the modern dandy with an edge. I want this tartan and blue leather version to match Fall Winter 2013's 'British classics' trend:-P
Below: Fall Winter 2013 is the season where animal prints prevail... so this pair of Gucci 1953 Horsebit Loafer in printed Jaguar came right on cue for the season:-) Luxuriously sexy...
Classics Reinvented: Gucci Pre-Fall 2013 '1953 Horsebit Loafers' in Tartan and Printed Jaguar

Last Spring Summer 2013 season, it was their Flora Infinity canvas and studded designs that caught my eye... but this Fall season, Gucci wins my heart again with their Tartan (USD495) and Printed Jaguar (USD930) versions of the classic 1953 Horsebit Loafer.

For fans of modern dandy style, what could be more appropriate than tartan with a touch of handsome blue leather trim. The new Gucci 1953 Horsebit Loafer from Pre-fall 2013 fits right at home with the now trending modern British gentlemen looks adopted everywhere.

The charm of the wild also beckons for the Fall Winter 2013 which Gucci hits the mark again blending classics with striking animalier jaguar print. A guy could let their flamboyant wild side unveiled at times, and footwear is subtle but speaks volumes of his impeccable taste.

I love the reinterpretation of these Gucci 1953 Horsebit Loafers. Each new season bring new exciting designs and materials, which goes to show classics just keep relevant thru the years.

Gucci Fall Winter 2013 Mens Bags

Below: Gucci Fall Winter 2013 mens bags exemplify understated luxury... discreet branding and immaculate details sum up the collection. I want the leather portfolio with chain detail as featured on the ad campaign. The croc skin version is an ultimate covetable piece:-P
Below: Backpack done right... Gucci hit all the right notes with this FW2013 backpack design, I especially love the signature bamboo handle detail. Highly recognisable without screaming branding. It's a must have! For those with a limitless budget, go for the croc skin version (USD39000):-P  The leather version retails from USD3200.
Ultimate Luxury: Gucci Fall Winter 2013 Mens Bags

Fall Winter 2013 seems to be the season where brands are having a showdown on who makes the most luxurious bags. Everyone have gotten the idea that less is more and the era of monogram is now fleeting.

Mulberry up their game with their new understated Matthew collection. Louis Vuitton got more earnest in introducing bags sans their signature monograms. And now, even the grand dame of monogram frenzy, Gucci has followed suit. For Fall Winter 2013, Frida Giannini did an incredible job with her mens bag designs. The key pieces are all devoid of any oversized branding or flashy details that the brand is famous for. Instead, luxurious skins and materials, immaculate craftsmanship and timeless design become the pillars for Gucci’s new design aesthetics. Especially clever are the introduction of bamboo handles on the bags which are part of Gucci’s DNA and something other brands can never claim. The Bamboo signature is both understated and yet highly recognisable without screaming the brand. Bravo!

Other favourite pieces include the portfolio case with chain detail (USD1150). The crocodile version as featured on the ad campaign is an ultimate covetable piece. And travelling like a true style forward gentlemen now comes in the form of beautiful leather carry-on duffle bags (USD2750) with woven handles and discreet branding. The amazing beautiful bamboo handle foldover tote or backpack also got hotlisted on my wishlist. All in all, I want everything Gucci this season! I am impressed.

Below: Travelling with sophisticated style... possible with Gucci Leather Carry-on Duffle Bag crafted with intricate details such as the woven handles and discreet Gucci crest branding...

Armie Hammer Wears Gucci At 'The Lone Ranger' London Premiere

Below: A standout colour befitting a rising young movie star... Armie Hammer looking extra dashing in Gucci's Spring Summer 2013 suit... Hot!
Standout Colour For A Rising Star: Armie Hammer In A Striking Red Gucci Suit

Not many guys dare to brave full on red when it comes to wardrobe choices. More often than not, overwhelming amounts of crimson tones make you standout for the wrong reasons. However, for rising star and leading man of movie 'The Lone Ranger', Armie Hammer, it's totally different scenario. Thank goodness for Gucci's ultra modern and slim fitted Spring Summer 2013 red suit, not even veteran megastar Johnny Depp stand a chance when the two photographed together. Armie looked dashing and a standout at 'The Lone Ranger' Premiere in London recently.

I love Armie Hammer's look. Gucci has definitely picked up the right group of young handsome movie celebrities to show off their collections. From Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds and now Armie Hammer... all the swoon worthy young male stars are pushing the brand to be even more aspirational and desirable.

Excuse me... I shall end my blog post now and go admire Armie's flawless facial skin. WOW!

(Armie Hammer is married. So gals and gays, he is taken and plays on the other team:-P)

Below: Braving a full on red suit pays off for Armie... Not even veteran star Johnny Depp stands a chance against Armie's good looks and that striking red suit! Agree?:-P

Flower Power For Menswear Spring Summer 2014

Below: Many designers are proposing floral prints for their SS2014 mens collection... I love Prada's rendition the most, especially on those quirky bags and sweaters:-) Flower power is invading next Summer!
Below: Dries Van Noten, Ami and Gucci are all embracing flower motifs for their SS2014 menswear...

Floral Prints For Spring Summer 2014 Menswear

Call it feminine or sissy all you want... the boys of Spring Summer 2014 wears flamboyant and brightly coloured floral prints. Yes, designers from Prada, Dries Van Noten, Ami, Gucci and even Givenchy (Pre-spring 2014) are all embracing the concept of florals on guys.

Loving Prada’s rendition of a ‘menacing paradise’ which sees Hawaiian inspired florals given new languid beauty in bright bursts of burgundys and blues. Translated on ready to wear to 'definite sell-out’ bags and luggage tags... I see another hit collection cashing in big bucks for the brand next year.

Dries Van Noten’s fearless but tasteful proposition of florals vs. masculinity is quite a visual treat too. Gold bullion embroidery juxtaposes with swirling floral patterns, in sometimes feminine fabrications challenges even the most daring fashion guys to embrace their softer side.

Ami took the flower prints in a tropical paradise and weave in an endearing story of guys on the move at airports. Be it holiday makers or business executives, their worlds meet and greet, bringing a sense of familiarity to the clothes, relatable to guys who travels. Tropical flower prints simply beckons for holidays:-)

Gucci also sent a series of heavily decorated floral looks down their runway... exemplifying Italian charm and a luxurious athletic direction, thoughtfully soften with flower motifs.

Next year will be a visually exciting fashion summer. Get ready for the invasion of flower power!

Ryan Reynolds And John Legend: Gucci Blue Nappa Leather Jacket

Below: Inspiration of the day... Bright blue for a pop of colour. Ryan Reynolds shows us how to wear tone on tone blue... l am adoring his Gucci Nappa Leather Jacket:-P
Yes To Blue: Ryan Reynolds & John Legend Wears Gucci Blue Nappa Leather Jacket

Heart throb Ryan Reynolds was spotted last week in London with Blake Lively for Gucci's "Chime For Change" charity concert. Ryan himself is already a sight to behold, but his all blue outfit makes him even more attractive. Most noteworthy, his bright blue Gucci Nappa Leather Jacket, slim fitted to perfection, complimenting the matching blue trousers, shirt and tie and of course his hot bod. He looks good both clean shaven or with stubble. Drool time officially starts...

Piling tone on tone of the same hue is an easy way to wear colour. I give Ryan credit for working some fashion inspiration. I am inspired to wear the colour now!

Singer John Legend was photographed wearing the same Gucci blue nappa leather jacket earlier this year, while attending “The Sound Of Change Live” premiere at the Corinthia Hotel in London, United Kingdom. Who do you think wore the jacket better? My vote goes to Ryan of course, except he should have worn his tight jeans slightly lower on the waist. Let your 'family jewels' have some breathing space!

Self reminder, I need to dig out some bright blues for this coming weekend:-)

Below: Singer John Legend wore the same Gucci Blue Nappa Leather Jacket... who do you think wore it better?:-)

Gucci Pre-fall 2013 Ad Campaign

Below: Gucci's Pre-fall 2013 highlights some of the upcoming trends for winter season this year, while fall back into the sexy seductive DNA of the brand... Loving the burgundy tone jacket and tartan trousers for the boys:-)

Below: Gucci's Bamboo tote is the bag to note for Pre-fall 2013...

Summer Ready Shoes: Kenzo's Colourful Striped Print Canvas Diego Sneakers

The fashion calendar is always ahead of everyone. Before you can say adios to summer (SS2013 end of season sales is coming!), the Pre-fall or Fall Winter 2013 advertising images are already surfacing online. Today I am going to feature Gucci’s latest Pre-fall 2013 ad campaign which is an ode to the brand’s DNA, Tom Ford era and beyond. Seductively moody, highlighting some of the very prominent trends surfacing in the coming winter months.

Brilliant pairing of a burgundy jacket and matching tartan trousers on the mens ad. Whoever thinks winter time is all greys and blacks will be disappointed. This rich deep crimson hue is going to make it big for FW2013. On the women's end, look out for laces, leopard prints, olive hues and most importantly black (which is a mainstay for Fall Winter), all of which are also going to be widely featured across major brands besides Gucci. As for Gucci’s spotlighted women’s bag for pre-fall 2013, the Gucci Bamboo tote takes the honour of seducing those 'hard-earned' dollars from your purses.

I love the new ads. Simple, straight to the point, setting up the moods for Fall while showcasing Gucci’s pre-fall 2013 collection's details in full splendor.

Below: Leopard prints and olive tones are going to make a big entrance for Fall Winter 2013...
