The Material Boy #149

Lanvin Canvas Mesh High-Tops With Suede Captoe

While paying my weekly 'pilgrimage' to the 'Club 21 Fashion Temple', I spotted another version of the Lanvin Hightops. Again, through the use of interesting combinations of materials, these shoes are looking really really appealing and cool. What sets this pair apart is the wrap around flap at the top of the high top trainers. Kinda reminiscent of Pierre Hardy's designs.

This Lanvin pair features a canvas mesh body, suede captoe, patent leather accents(where the hole for laces are), edges lined with copper patent metallic trim. Simply wonderful with so many different layers of materials in one shoe. All complimentary and not clashing. It's a real brilliant design.

This shoe also comes in a beige and green trimmings version. Looks equally nice as well.

The prices for Lanvin shoes seem to have dropped a little. Last season's copper captoe version costs around SGD $1269 but this season, they are a hundred bucks less, at SGD $1169. And you get extra wrap around flap! :-P Justification to make sure you have a better deal.

I want! I want! But what to wear with this? I have not even broken into my Bally White High-tops.

when I was in Paris, I saw a hot guy wearing the grey-blue-white version of this. he had skinny jeans, white tee with colorful print, and nerdy glasses. I wanted to kiss him. LOL
